tremble little lion man - Orochi - July 14, 2020

Something about the island's forest was strange. It was the smell, it bought a nostalgic feeling. Everytime he passed through it, he remembered the little things about his old home; that cramped den, his annoying brother who stuck to him like glue, and the days he'd sneak away to explore the world. Those memories made him melancholy.

After passing through the woods for about the dozenth time since he's been here, he decided that today was the day he'd discover the source of these smells. He approached a den without a second thought, unaware of the potentially angry mother he'd come across.

RE: tremble little lion man - RIP Tzila - July 14, 2020

Tzila liked to think she had chosen her den well, along with Astaroth's help of course. Backing up to the small forest of the island and facing the pebbled stretch of shoreline, she had the best of both worlds. The titan of a tree sheltering the entrance to the whelping site of her son almost served as a stern warning to any nosy animal not to get close. Unfortunately, Orochi was on that list today.

In the not so distant past, they had been of the same pack. Tzila had hardly registered his presence in the Nightwalkers at that time, coming across his scent in passing. Now by a twist of fortunes, they were back under the same roof. The ex-Nightwalker now served as a dutiful mother and a savage defender of Yuèlóng.

She had only just ducked back in the depths of her den, with a juicy, sizable crab clenched between her jaws. She needed to be well fed in order to keep producing milk for her cherished son, Sotiris. Though she was certain Astaroth was never far away. No sooner had she entered, did a scent of someone else send her on alert. They were close. Too close. Quickly checking on Sotiris, she reappeared and in a few short strides, climbed the trail leading up to the sturdy shelf-like roof where the tree backed up to the forest. She paused halfway up, eyes narrowed suspiciously on the ruddy and golden wolf. Her head lowered, not in a display of aggression, but of uncertain caution. She didn't want to be unnecessarily hostile to a pack mate, but her motherly instincts were strong. "Maybe...find another way around." She suggested at first. "You are awfully close to my den, just there." She indicated behind her with a flick of an ear.

RE: tremble little lion man - Orochi - July 20, 2020

Sure enough, he was intercepted by said mother. Whether she was hostile or not, well, time would tell. He'd probably get on her bad side one way or another, intentional or not.

Orochi cocked his head to one side. Yeah, so? Nobody else made a fuss when he passed by their den, so what's so bad about it now.
