build a hill on me; in my memory - Pestilence - July 19, 2020 vague vague vague
Remember to clean the fur behind your ears, dear. she pulls a paw over her ear, and again, and again, until she's stuck in the motion. something bitter seeps out from a gap in her heart, sluggish and vile. it is something angry, something longing. she wants to find her way back to the mesa, and @Virtute, a world starkly different than this easy one of willows and soft breezes. Use your paw, like I showed you. it's starting to hurt, the tug of her paw on the soft skin of her crown. she twists her paw, and her dew claw catches against her skin. eyes narrow, and the girl tenses, but continues her grooming. she wants the king of the mesa, but the same docility that had led to her finding her guardian has led her here. if only she'd not gone so far, if only she'd waited behind as surely a dutiful ward would have. but @Deidra had offered food and direction and a way out of the twisting red maze, and she could only follow. again, her dew claw catches, leaving behind another thin red line beneath her fur. eyes narrow, her chest feels tight. she must do as Virtute said; must make her pelt clean and shiny as his had been, as he'd taught her to do. RE: build a hill on me; in my memory - Valium - July 19, 2020 It was time now to start meeting other wolves of the weeping forest, now that his wounds from the witch were all cleared up (those threads were back dated lmfao) and he no longer looked like some kind of weak little victim, Valium, now Cassidy to ease his position within the pack instead of sticking out with his Nightwalkers name, ventured around. This place was nice he supposed, green, alive, a lot of little critters for him to chase and kill. It was different than fighting with the other puppies, but this was fun too. In his little adventure in the heart of the lands, someone... something caught his eye. He knew who that was, like in the recesses of his mind he knew exactly who this was! Oh how he wanted to pounce on her, just as he did with her siblings back home, to assert his dominance in their own little ranking - but not now. What he saw instead was something far more interesting to do. Sauntering up with a tail held high, he eyed the young girl with a sideways glance. What are you doing?Full of attitude as always, talking down to her like the little freak she and her siblings were. RE: build a hill on me; in my memory - Pestilence - July 19, 2020 she pauses, bringing her dewclaw to her mouth and pulling it between her lips, tasting there the faintest notes of blood. footsteps, then, and the voice that accompanies them has her wavering, suddenly, she is a tendril of fog, liable to fade away with the next gust of wind. paw lowers to the ground, and empty poison gaze finds that of valium. "grooming," she answers dully, honestly, wariness writ into every line of her form. she ought to have denied doing anything, ought to have been more careful. she is alone, now, without her guardian to watch over her. RE: build a hill on me; in my memory - Valium - July 22, 2020 That's a weird way to groom. He stated rather bluntly, a matter of fact really as if it was undisputed and no one could change his mind on it. Do you think you're a cat or something? But then again, Valium didn't really groom much either. A lick here, some water there, splash splash and he was done. No one really cared what he looked like, even Valium himself! He was too busy being better than everyone else to take time to bathe whenever he was a little dirty. Are all your siblings weird like you are? Or are you too weird even for them and that is why you're the only one here? |
