maybe it's time you got over - Cethleann Darroch - August 28, 2014

Somewhere near BDP ^^ @Acorn

Aktaiê had taken Junior and some others and left the rest of the group to their own devices while they escorted the youth to bid her pack farewell. Cethleann sat quietly for a while, watching the distant spot where they had disappeared, praying to the moon that they would return safely and the young sprite would still be with them. Though the concept was strange for her, she knew that the little girl's father would probably fight for her. Her own father would have picked her up and thrown her to the Nereides even if she hadn't wanted to leave, but she understood well that her childhood was a different experience than what others had.

Ceth sighed and licked her lips to calm her nerves. She turned slowly to gaze around her to see what her sisters were up to. It seemed some had wandered, likely to hunt, but others still lingered. The frail lark looked away, feeling her insides squeeze suddenly with hunger. After being near-starved, she was trying to take it slow getting back to eating again. She knew eating too much too quickly would make her sick and so she restrained herself, as hard as it was to do so. She had been trained as a Keeper--a storyteller--but her mentor had been kind enough to teach her of other things as well, including medicine. It had been forbidden to show Cethleann any kindness, but her mentor had not been of the Darroch's pack, so she had not been bound by those restrictions.

Something moved on the horizon, causing her attention to shift. It was not her sisters returning from their journey, and so Ceth's brief moment of excitement faded. She turned her attention again to her hunger and pulled herself to her pause, ready to end her vigil to find herself something to satisfy her aching stomach.
