feredir - Rohan - July 29, 2020 Title translation: hunter
The heat had led the stalwart figure across the surface of the fen and into the shadows of the unfamiliar woodland terrain. The darkness of the forest was appealing to the royal. He regarded the earthly drapery of looming trees with a stern and unreadable expression. The stag stopped at the edge of the trees for only a moment before he stepped into the fold of the wild wood and the cool touch of shade. Once in the forest, Rohan was quick to learn his terrain. His guard was high as he plodded into a small clearing, ears swiveling wildly as his dark eyes searched the unknown shadows. When all was quiet and the scent of the air was filled only with the aroma of earthen greenery, Rohan plucked at the stems at the earth and filled himself to a state of swollen contentment. RE: feredir - Dragoon - August 02, 2020 Dragoon re-emerged into a forest she had met Cupid at. Not for the hope of finding them, but more-so simple wandering. She was surverying the lands in the hope to find more wolves, as it seemed the area in particular was rather abundent in them. However, instead of finding a fellow wolf, her red eyes became set on a large elk.
Ah. Fuck. A single wolf would not successfully hunt them by self, and she quietly wished to exit. RE: feredir - Rohan - August 05, 2020 The stag’s head reared upward with the shift in wind. His dark eyes scanned the fold of evergreen in search of where the predator was hiding. The scent of wolf was unmistakable; far too many times had the prince been forced to defend his herd from their cruel fangs. Rohan was not fond of the fanged creatures’ tendencies. They were crass animals who favored the taste of blood over reason. The prince was keen to keep himself far from their reach if he could afford such distance. The hairs along his neck rose upward with the uncertainty of where the target had stopped. The prince swung his skull in search of the wolf. It was not until he had shifted his weight and turned his crown to the north that he caught the glimpse of shimmering ivory against the green backdrop. The russet figure backed himself up to protect his rear from attack, using the looming tree as protection from whatever rested beyond. The jagged tines of his antlers loomed above his brow threateningly. Rohan did not cease his watchful stare into the wilderness; he knew the wolf was there and it would show itself in time. Could those devious monsters truly turn their eye to the promise of fresh blood? RE: feredir - Dragoon - August 05, 2020 She wasn't a fool to challenge another that would simply cause her injuries. Dragoon wanted to live, and didn't let her pride of a wolf simply get in the way of wanting a 'fresh' meal of sorts. It was a shame she was so bright, because it was harder to simply curve around the beast.
It sensed her. It raised it's horns in defense, but as someone with no desire to prowl forward in attack, she moved circle-wise, to avoid the beast. RE: feredir - Rohan - August 19, 2020 The prince’s nostrils were flared wide as the stag drank in the scent of the forest and the predator that circled around him. His russet frame seemed to quiver at the prospect of being so close to the animal, but the longer that he stood in his rigid defense, the more he had realized that there was only the scent of one fanged beast. “Show yourself, fanged one,” the stag demanded to the forest. The deer’s voice was rich, filled with a sound of earthly wisdom. The dark glint of his gaze shot into the shadows of the wood. Rohan snorted, feeling his pride return to his figure. It wasn’t likely that one wolf would prove to be much of a threat. If there were others hiding in the darkness of the trees, Rohan knew he would be forced to flee. RE: feredir - Dragoon - August 22, 2020 Nope.
Dragoon was shocked he even spoke in common wolf, and especially now learning that, she was gone. Despite the command, the ghost did what she did best, disappear. Perhaps white like snow, and eyes red like blood, she was fast, and quick to escape from the moment. She didn't want to be mauled by antlers today. RE: feredir - Rohan - August 27, 2020 It was not long before the scent of the predator faded from his flared nostrils and the wood seemed to have slipped back into a state of calm. Rohan remained wary for some time until he felt it was safe enough to lower his head and graze. When he had filled his belly, the prince aimed himself for the heart of the forest and trekked deeper. When the sunlight had dimmed, he had found a pleasant place to bed down for the night. |
