the mountains are calling - Ico - July 30, 2020 Set on 21 July, all welcome. :)
By some miracle, two weeks had passed since Ico's desertion of Ursus. He'd got himself thoroughly lost in the mountains before realising there was no reason why he could not just plant himself here for a while, high above the problems he'd now abandoned. The Summer had grown hot, but he caught ample breeze at the high altitude, and enjoyed cool water fresh from mountain springs. Ico had finally learned to hunt in the past few months, which was serving him well as grey squirrels and rats darted from scarce tree to cliffside hideaway. Somehow, and quite against his own expectations, the traumatised boy was doing well. Until one evening, as the sun set behind the mountain zenith behind him, Ico had hopped from a plateau in search of a shortcut and found himself stuck on an extremely steep slope. If he scrambled upward, scree slipped perilously beneath his paws. He gazed down and realised there was no way he could descend that way either — the slope ended in a dramatic plunge into the valley below. Ico was stuck. Why do I keep getting myself in such pickles, he muttered with exasperation, cringing as he raked his mind for solutions and found exactly nothing. RE: the mountains are calling - Fionn - July 31, 2020 note to self: after riley visit, before donovan visit
Wandering through the mountain would ease the stress of recent events, he thought. They had enemies now, which Fionn did not know much of- but the enemies were rude, and disrespectful, supposedly violent too, and the faerie boy was wary in his trips. High alert, every careful step guarded, ruby eyes constantly surveying the slopes for anyone- anyone could be one of them. And there- upon one of the steepest slopes just below, he saw a little fox of a thing, small and pretty- but looks could always be deceiving. Though darkness descended upon the sunspire, the boy's pale coat had him glowing like a star. Ah- do you need help?Fionn called from above, sticking his muzzle over a ledge to speak to the boy. Sure, he could be saint- but what was the harm in helping, especially if he did turn out an innocent? RE: the mountains are calling - Ico - August 01, 2020 Ico would later wonder why he didn't panic in this precarious moment, as scree continued to shift beneath his light paws, and the precipice below beckoned him menacingly. Perhaps he would've started to panic... if it weren't for the voice that called from above. The youth looked up sharply, ears flat with concern. There he saw a young grey fellow gazing down at him from the cliff above. Yes please!Ico called back thankfully. Though I'm... not sure what to suggest... |
