Certified Natural Mosquito Bath - Dakota Tikaani - August 23, 2020

@Cynefrid thread titles are a lie

The mosquitoes are loving this weather. A faint buzz fills the air as Dakota approaches the marshland, washed out despite the surrounding greenery—if it can be called green. In these conditions, even the lushest flora is subdued under indiscriminate layers of rainfall. It’s about the furthest thing from Paradise he can imagine, and he welcomes the challenge.

He wonders if he’d make it from here, along the eastern edge, to an island of tall grass a few feet inwards in a single bound. Just how deep is that water, especially in the downpour? Dakota’s never encountered terrain like this, but he’s had a few swims in too-cold arctic seas, and the dauntless braggart in him wants to conquer the humid waters just as well. Hey, better this than a river, righ—SPLASH.

The decision is made for him when, while walking across stone by the water’s edge, he misjudges just how slippery rainwater can be. Whoopsie-daisy is his glorious last thought before he falls, taking a crooked nosedive, into the shallows. Not deep enough to drown, but just enough for his legs to flail in an airborne display of grace and dignity. Good boy!

RE: Certified Natural Mosquito Bath - Cynefrid - August 25, 2020

lol

Oh dear, this was not fun. Not fun at all...

The doe was practically getting ambushed by bloodthirsty mosquitoes here. They buzzed aggervatingly near her twitching ears and bit up her skin left and right. She has to whip her tail around her hips every now and then like a horse to make sure the swarm didn't fly too close towards the injury on her hip, but such a feat was already starting to become tiring for the femme. Cynefrid couldn't be here long just as long as these flying insects threatened to turn the burn into an infection — so she trudged through the swampy grounds with an intention of finding a way out. Wherever that may be, because the fawnish woman was lost.

There was a sudden disturbance in the air — a resounding -SPLASH- nearby these murky waters. Cyne wasn't even aware that she wasn't alone, so the noise nearly made her flail into the water as well out of fear. When she'd frantically look around to see what it was, her scarlet orbs would eventually all on....legs. Two pairs of legs standing up in the water, no body or head attached to it visually — were they drowning?

"Oh dear, are you okay!?" Cyne said in a panicked voice, running over to see if said individual was actually having trouble swimming. The doe wasn't exactly sure what to do in such a situation, so she kinda pawed at the marsh's edge to see if there was a response.
