To stir such a cauldron, you've got to be strong, - Célnes - August 24, 2020 She had to be careful- there seemed to be numerous packs around the mountains. Célnes was taking a stride around, taking her time through the slopes and barriers, enjoying the scenary, and of course she could smell their borders.
She also did not forget her original purpose. Find family, as more and more of the Deorwine's were coming forward, she not only had Kendrick in mind, but now there was hope for them as well. Coming across a greenary in the mountains, was pleasant for her thoughts. As their numbers grew in family and friends, they all seemed to be drawn to these wilds. Was this the High Elk's doing? She would hope so, and maybe he too could leave a sign for their blessing. A new home. But this area was not it, there was no deer to be seen. An open meadow, bare trees and a faint smelling of foxes.. There would be no Elk here. RE: To stir such a cauldron, you've got to be strong, - Cenric - August 25, 2020 Cenric had been following his sister’s tracks throughout the mountain. It’s been awhile since they’d last spoke. Now’s a good time to catch up. He’s led into a meadow, and he finds his sister soon enough. She seemed to be observing the scenery. It’s a nice place. Very serene.Cenric strolled up to her side. What’s brought you out here? RE: To stir such a cauldron, you've got to be strong, - Célnes - August 25, 2020 "Indeed," she agreed, it was nice pace of change compared to all the water and fire they'd had to welcome in their life, "Cenric," the Deorwine started, "I haven't seen many signs of the High Elk."
Even upon their search for their brother, Kendrick, she often looked out for their Deity, their God. She thought many lands seemed blessed, but, it was a shame that he was not there. Even though at times his apostle's came through, she could not find him. Some area's were rich with life, she thought of his blessing, yet he was not there. "We know Kendrick is alive, perhaps we should look for the High Elk. Wherever he is, the land has an abundant of resources." RE: To stir such a cauldron, you've got to be strong, - Cenric - August 25, 2020 Perhaps the mountains aren’t His fancy. If they were to find any clues at all, their best bet was to head towards the lowlands. Some place where the evergreens branches touched the heavens and the flora was aplenty. The mountains were no place for the High Elk. You’re right.Leaving Kendrick behind would be unfortunate, but he was alive. Friede was probably traveling with him. And if he wasn’t- The High Elk will lead him to us if he chooses to follow His path. Now that that was out of way, there were many other things to discuss. Célnes, have you found anymore survivors? RE: To stir such a cauldron, you've got to be strong, - Célnes - August 25, 2020 The triad were tight despite often not seeing each other. She valued her siblings, and held regret letting Freo' simply go back alone, but they held a duty to find Kendrick. But he was alive. They knew that much, but not with them. Fate hadn't intertwined the three yet, and she somewhat didn't want to continue this constant farce of always looking for him.
Célnes sighed, "I hope we come across him sooner then later." There was thoughts to be held, and would never admit outloud. She started holding out her desire for elsewhere, especially the High Elk. They searched for so long, and only came across the factor he was alive, but unfounded. Now, there was definitely more of them to think about. She wanted to move on. "A lot," she admitted, "Calhoun, Corliss, Brewster, Friede, and Chad. Some are in the mountains, some are elsewhere," Her voice darkened a bit mentioning their 'Uncle Brewster,' as she gave a knowing look to her brother. RE: To stir such a cauldron, you've got to be strong, - Cenric - August 25, 2020 She rattled off a handful of names, the most notable being their dear Uncle Brewster. The disdain was hidden in her tone, and Cenric could not blame her. You wouldn’t expect a man his age to able to outrun the fire.He willed himself to smile. I’m pleasantly surprised. You’ve reunited with a lot of wolves during our stay. Sadly, I can’t say the same for myself. I’ve met a couple members of Seelie Court and-Her name was caught in his throat. Célnes, Whitney survived. RE: To stir such a cauldron, you've got to be strong, - Célnes - August 25, 2020 "As well as I," he outran the fire, and so did the bones that they laid behind. Their uncle may always be suspicious, but now there was no confirming for what had been done. A cruel smile crossed her lips on such thoughts.
"What a pleasant name," a court? Kingslend were isolated, with the occasional loners and ancestry of others that were initated in. Cultures often blended, but majority stayed the same, she can't recall anyone who came from a court..? Oh wait, yes she did! "A man named Dante exanded an invitation to it." Her smile didn't drop, but nearly remained placid, "Whitney?" She remembered the white witch of the land. Born to a blessed pair, but given one that was different, a particular albino, stripped completely of any color. Truly, the most cursed of their land. Though she was born as a Deorwine, and was not casted out. "Perhaps there are plans for her." RE: To stir such a cauldron, you've got to be strong, - Cenric - August 25, 2020 He’s yet to meet someone by the name of Dante. Was he a friend of foe? Anyone who offered their hospitality had to be good in some way, and the seelie wolves he’d met had been nothing but kind. Perhaps they’d cross paths one day. Her smile did not falter when he mentioned the witch, nor did his. Yes, well, I assume they can’t be good. She’s a witch after all. They never had good fortune. There’s been one too many unsavory folk weaving their way in our group has there?Brewster, Whitney. How is Germanicus? RE: To stir such a cauldron, you've got to be strong, - Célnes - August 25, 2020 "We are in new land, brother, we must keep an open mind." Traditions were a deep route for the Deorwine's, and the racism upon other pelts held true even to their dying day. The 'holiness' of the brown pelts, and their superiority seemed no more, when they were now just dwindled to a smaller, disbanded group of the old home.
"He is searching for someone at the moment." And she would not know when will be back. She prompted her sibling to walk with her as they talked. It had been some time since the two were one on one, and perhaps.. A moment, Célnes dropped her facade of a smile, and looked at him with a serious and concerned gaze. "Cenric our home is gone," she swallowed, "what do you think is our purpose?" RE: To stir such a cauldron, you've got to be strong, - Cenric - August 25, 2020 Oh? I’d expect a guide to stick close to the people he’s leading. This certainly wasn’t a great look for him. Strike one. I hope he finds who he’s looking for. He met his sister’s stern gaze, then looked up at the mountains peaks. What was their purpose now? A life of travel wasn’t meant for the family, and living under someone else’s rule was practically blasphemy. That left them with one choice. The High Elk will show Himself in some way shape or form. He’ll guide us to a safe haven. That’s where we’ll build a new home from the ground up.He turned to Célnes. It’s our destiny. RE: To stir such a cauldron, you've got to be strong, - Célnes - August 25, 2020 "He is a fine man," she said in his defense. He did remind her of Cenric in similar views, both a scruntizing-like, quiet men. A bit like their father, but she wondered how Cenric would react if mentioned so. Célnes never got along with her parents, and they always treated their younger batch better then the eldest.
"Do we rebuild what we had? A name for ourselves- a new Kingslend?" She rose a brow, voicing her thoughts. They were at the back of her mind to rebuild their homeland, but at the same time, she wondered if was too hasty. A bit of greed, as they were part of the noble line from the Kings and Queens, but the crown was never passed down, nor a heir to named. She wanted to claim it so. RE: To stir such a cauldron, you've got to be strong, - Cenric - August 25, 2020 They will rise from the ashes, create a new home for themselves. A new Kingslend. Bigger, better, stronger. The wolves of these land will soon know of the Déorwine family and respect their name. Cenric nodded. We will. And we’ll rule together. This is the path the High Elk had intended. RE: To stir such a cauldron, you've got to be strong, - Célnes - August 25, 2020 "Then we should find a suitable home- where he walks." A vixian smile as they came to a mutual agreement- to be the heirs to the throne. Something that their father could never obtain despite his desire, and now he was buried in ashes with the previous rulers. Who else was to take the crown besides themselves?
"May Kingslend live once more." |
