It's grander than fiction, the life that we lead. - Célnes - August 25, 2020 Officially, the renewel of Kingslend begun. The name held dear to their hearts, as it was their homeland, and soon the group would bring it to these wilds. However they needed a stable home, that was definitely not these mountains. Célnes was however going around, seeing signs of the High Elk, and as well as finding.. Kendrick.
She not wish to move before finding him, but at the same time, she was now selfishly prioritizing the new rule. Though as her brother had said, if it was meant to be, it was meant to be. They know he is alive, that is enough.. For now. So she graced herself with a walk through the mountains, idly searching. RE: It's grander than fiction, the life that we lead. - Odessa - August 30, 2020 The old mother had settled here a number of days now, taking the time after traveling to these lands to try and regain her energy that had so much been lost to her. She was nearly six and a half, after all, and though she had no intention of dying off just yet, knew she was no where near as fit and swift as she once was, nor as was the majority of the group she had come looking for. Odessa often slept, doing so when the rains were heavy which was most of the times. When it eased, she would look for something to eat in the same manner surely foraging animals would. She had caught small game and had been lucky enough to eat from those which had drowned. She was now regaining herself and soon she would be on the move again. Luckily, it seemed, she would not have to do so alone. Moving along the easy, green sloping mountains, she spotted a familiar brown wolf, very familiar. Célnes, beautiful girl! My am I happy to see you!She called out as she made quick steps into her direction. RE: It's grander than fiction, the life that we lead. - Célnes - August 30, 2020 A familiar elder came forth, not one of her many uncles and aunts, nor' was she Uncle Brewster. A smile of warmth, as Célnes welcomed the older Deorwine, "Odessa, i'm glad you survived."
She remembered this woman had a rather hard-life, however, remained loyal to the Kingslend name throughout it all. She was the pinnacle, of what all the young Kingslend wolves wanted to be, and the elders preached of her loyalty to the name and land. A worthy wolf, "It must be destiny of the High Elk." RE: It's grander than fiction, the life that we lead. - Odessa - August 30, 2020 And older she was, perhaps even, if she could recall now correctly, the eldest of the Deorwine, the woman who tended to these young wandering around these lands now. The one who gushed them to easy sleep, that licked their wet noses and protected their mother's whilst they rest. It must.Odessa takes in a deep breath and happily wags her tail, though finds herself to a coughing fit a moment which she aims to smother. One she had never before. Though she held no outward mares from the flames, she knew the destruction had taken its toll on her internally. Life is not not meant to be easy, it is meant to push us, test us, and our High Elk sees to this. But we will be stronger for it, no?She smiles to the young girl as she comes to her, sniffing and arching around, ensuring she was quite alright and well. A mother couldnt help herself. RE: It's grander than fiction, the life that we lead. - Célnes - August 30, 2020 Célnes held a truthful smile, there was no facade as usual, as she was glad to see Odessa. The woman acted more motherly to her then her own mother did, as she was too busy in self-pity, in weakness, and the deceased uncle Grayson. She stepped forward to accept, and lurched herself in as well to embrace Odessa by leaning her head to the elderly womans shoulder.
"We shall, and have. You have protected us," the Deorwine started, "and now we can do the same back. Kingslend, will come to these lands." A promise, a start.. RE: It's grander than fiction, the life that we lead. - Odessa - August 30, 2020 Oh Célnes...The mother would coo her name, turning her skull to touch the head of the youth which rest to her shoulder. No lack of birthing by her, no lack of time nor of blood would stop Odessa from teaching all of her family, all of Deorwine with such affections. I've faith we will find a home for us here worthy of being proud of. That you will make us proud. And why not? The blood of her family descended through Kingslend as far as Odessa ever knew. It only seemed fitting that with a new land a new generation of ruling thus would follow. Has the High Elk come come to you? Has he shown you the path?If he had, if he was leading her way, then surely Celnes was rightful to lead their way. RE: It's grander than fiction, the life that we lead. - Célnes - August 30, 2020 "He has shown the way by leading our family to here; and now, we search for who still is not, and to where he is." There was duties to do, before settling Kingslend to an appropriate place. They had find the High Elk, where is vessel blesses the land, as only that place is truly worthy for their name to claim.
However, what was said, some of it was simply for show. There was no path that they had given, and He with a Thousand Antlers has not shown a way to him- she felt they were on their own. Another challenge, some of the more religious beings would say. To stay on their goodside, was to stay to their religion. Then the struggle of finding who was still left, especially her brother, "we for now linger in the mountains. These lands have been cursed with endless rain." Célnes expressed, finding refuge in the safe haven of a mountain. RE: It's grander than fiction, the life that we lead. - Odessa - September 02, 2020 The young girl had not spotted the High Elk, had not been guided by him. It caused a frown to form over her mug and she nodded firmly. She had hoped that someone might have been able to find their God, that he might show them the path in this strange new land. For now, Odessa supposed, she would have to wait. Taking a step back, she sighs, her eyes narrowing on the heavy clouds. I can see that. It has been quite dreary. She would be left to think, perhaps, that the High Elk mourns the loss of the forest or perhaps due to his disciples being so separated. Mind showing me then where an old woman can rest her bones out of this? RE: It's grander than fiction, the life that we lead. - Célnes - September 13, 2020 "Of course Odessa." Célnes led the older counterpart to their safe lil' location on the mountain. She of course supported the elderly, as bringing them to the peak would be quite a challenge. It may not be the best for the older-kin, but the elken woman did not think any had survived. Perhaps there would be a need to move themselves once more, eventually.
