with all my choices - Leon - September 01, 2014 and you should know that the lies won't hide your flaws omfg the map is too cool
It was only natural he come back and make a beeline for the place he knew that that interesting(not to mention cute) wolf Elijah had been. The scent was familiar once he was upon the borders. He was graciously accepted and he searched for the kid but... alas, he was no where to be found. Either way, he needed a pack to rest up in. If the kid had been here the pack must not have been bad, huh? So he'd give it an honest to goodness shot. Bazi seemed nice enough but he reserved further judgement until he got to meet her again under more relaxed circumstances. He also needed to meet the beta male... getting to know the leaders would give him a better idea of the pack and how it was run. Leon didn't have his hopes up, and his expectations were low-- he aimed to be pleasantly surprised and allowed for room for that. Instead of specifically going to find anyone though, the male took to sniffing around the pack's territory to acquaint himself with it and get the lay of the land. He managed to find a couple caches that he would attempt to add to later. When the Hughes man found himself in a grove that was split by the creek he settled down in the soothing surroundings near the water. At some point he stretched out and dripped dark toes into the cool water and breathed a deep sigh, one ear lazily twitching as his pink nose hovered just above blades of grass. RE: with all my choices - Scimitar - September 01, 2014 He could not avoid Swiftcurrent Creek forever, nor Bazi, and so Scimitar had trailed back in to the claimed lands once more the previous night. His thoughts were darkened by the simple fact that Danica, Shadow and Paar's scents were slowly fading -- as well as Njal and Tuwawi. The only difference was that the latter had chosen to leave their home. But with this revelation came new members, and while he was a far cry from a socializing mood, the tawny male lumbered through the lands, keen on meeting them. It did not take him long to find one -- his eyes swept over the ebony male and flinched inwardly as he wondered if Bazi was ready to move on from them and entertain herself with a new potential lover. His features were stoical as he loped closer, his muzzle lifting to display his rank as he closed the distance between the two. The darker newcomer was along the edges of the creek, and uttering a bark to announce his presence, the Beta moved closer to inspect their newest recruit. RE: with all my choices - Leon - September 02, 2014 and you should know that the lies won't hide your flaws The man had begun to doze off just a few minutes before the Beta's arrival, but the sound of movement caused him to raise his head and glance back over his shoulder. He blinked the tiredness out of sharp silver eyes before his ears perked forward with full interest toward the male-- a stranger, but hot damn son. What a handsome catch he was. Leon offered a few wags of his tail as he dragged himself up from his comfortable resting spot with a slick but friendly smirk on his dark visage. He dipped his head to acknowledge rank and show submission in a way that didn't have him kissing up, but man he'd kiss up that face with a lesser excuse, honestly. "Hey there," he greeted confidently in that deep, gravelly voice with a subtle undertone of something which he wouldn't make entirely obvious that second. "Y'must be th'alpha's right-hand man, eh?" Yeah, making friends here wouldn't be terribly hard. Leon turned on the charm but overall simply seemed to be friendly. RE: with all my choices - Scimitar - September 02, 2014 Completely oblivious to whatever was running through his newfound companion's mind, Scimitar simply took the studying gaze to be a newer member recruiting the wolf whose scent was almost as strong as Bazi's -- and, perhaps, deciding whether or not he was worthy of his rank. These days, the cinnamon male was uncertain of this, and as his eyes briefly lifted from the newcomer to study the foliage and land about him (he would never admit openly he was hoping to catch a glimpse of the Alpha's pristine hues), he allowed the other this brief study of him. His eyes would quickly train upon the darker male once more, noting the scruffy pelt was longer than usual -- a mix, perhaps? Scimitar had come across enough in his younger years to know what a dog was, but he spoke nothing of the other's possible heritage. It mattered little as long as he could fall in line. The question stirred his ears to flicker forward, a soft chuff escaping his nostrils at the comment. "You could say that," he gleaned the question away from whatever distress the Alpha and Beta had between them, his figure loping closer in a casual demeanor, though his tail arced higher in force of his rank. "And you are?" RE: with all my choices - Leon - September 02, 2014 and you should know that the lies won't hide your flaws Thankfully his flirtatious tone went unnoticed-- Leon was a man who appreciated a good looking wolf male or female, but he often forgot that that sort of thing could come across the wrong way to many. Especially those who held a higher rank because from what experience he had with pack wolves had taught him that those with a high rank let it go to their heads, often trying to enforce submission when they need not to; causing the gruff colorless man to kiss ass when he shouldn't have to. And also especially because of closed-minded individuals who would simply be offended at his attraction to the same gender. He was all sorts of unnatural in more ways than that. That being said, right now wasn't one of those times where he was annoyed by the very nature of what creatures they were. He had a damn pretty face to keep him cool and level-headed and he would restrain himself from coming onto the stranger outright. At least until he got to know the looker and was able to gauge a bit of how he might react. Silver eyes ran over the large, masculine form of the other as his own demeanor remained relaxed and friendly; he wasn't groveling on the ground so he was holding his head up but not high and his ears and tail rested relaxedly. Every now and then the curled appendage would twitch akin to a cat before turning into a gentle, repeated sway. In the silence he drank in the handsome male's attractive body, coloring and face. "Leon Hughes, at yer service," he said with a teasing bow before he straightened his posture again, shifting where he stood. "'M new 'round here-- in these lands in general. Would y'mind givin' me a lil' tour sometime?" Another excuse for him to be graced with the man's company in the future should he not want to be a tour guide in this moment. RE: with all my choices - Scimitar - September 05, 2014 “Scimitar Frostfur,” he offered in return, the surname feeling strange on his tongue. Very little times did he introduce his entire name – not because he was ashamed of it (the exact opposite, if truth be told) but because others in the Teekon Wilds used them very little. Somehow, they almost seemed unimportant here.. as if bloodlines were of little consequence or thought. He wondered how Rapier was fairing – his siblings had likely left the shelter of Dal Riata to explore the world, much like he and Kaskara. That said, he wouldn’t have been surprised if Saber or Falchion had risen in rank now, eager to take her place when the time had come. When he had been younger, it had almost been his ambition as well – to reign as king over the Dal Riata wolves and hold a family of perfection on Halycon Cliff. How different that part of his life had seemed in comparison to now. Leon’s questioned stirred his attention once more, and the large male blinked at his darker companion, curious of his amicable nature. It had been awhile since such a chance for a laid back friendship had risen to him, and he fondly recalled his days with Luka. “Sure,” he replied with a small shrug, wondering if the male was preoccupied at the moment to do it now. It didn’t take him long to move the beat of the conversation to his next question. “When did Bazi accept you?” And more importantly, had he gotten just as lost in those beautiful blue eyes as Scimitar himself did? |
