Wandering child of the earth, - Fānglong - September 10, 2020

Was this the place?

Fanglong was a mermaid who had travelled much, she was only a yearling, and desired to find a more permanent residence.. She was a forgotten wolf after all. Her previous residence had long since forgotten her, since her mother consort, or Beauty Lanying, was cast away many moons ago by the Emperor and his Empress.

She wondered if they even knew she was alive, and only vaguely remembers being given a name. She doesn't even remember what name it was, but mother always called her by Fanglong. She hoped that the icy-girl would evolve to a dragon, and ascend to the heavens..

But her mother passed, and none came through. So she slipped out- none noticed her disappearence.

Then she came across a woman with her son, and the siren directed her to.. Yuelong, was it? Saying that since she is of Chinese descent, Fanglong would feel more at home in that area. Call for the Empress, she remembered, and give word to her name, 'Ruo.'

It seemed empty, and almost felt stiffling that the woman lied to her so. But she gave benefit of a doubt, and called forth.

RE: Wandering child of the earth, - Aiolos - September 12, 2020

They were home. Finally, finally home, and Aiolos moved the pack along with Hua as quickly as he could to get them there. Though nothing was really wrong with the forest or their allies, it was easy to say that the coastal pack's time on the mainland had been anything but easy. Still, some of their members were missing and it pained Aiolos much so that the day they did make it back home again, Ruo left him, taking their child along with.

It had been two days since then. Two days and Aiolos had not left the island for a second. He had, however, been distant. He had taken Ruo's place as a recluse for the time, keeping to the rock they had made their den in and when not there, was scouring the edges of their island home for prey or predator.

This day it was predator, making way along the sandbar which connected the island to the mainland.  A dark young woman stood awaiting, her howl having rung out to the members of Yuelong. The fiery wolf padded into her direction across the sands, his face solemn, torn. How can I help you?

The woman told her they spoke the same language, but the man carried no noticable accent, nor' seemed to have the curves she saw on her own coastal wolves. Though they were a Court Fanglong may not know of, for the one's she knew tended to be quite curvy, less muscular, and definitely not red.

"I look for Yuelong." The woman held a thick Chinese accent as she troubled through English, "a woman, Ruò Shuāng, told it would be here." The mermaid held a neutral stance, she wasn't looking intimidating or dominating, but nor' did she hold a meek manner. A face of solemness, as she told him so.

"I am Fānglong."

A thick accented voice, her speech a bit broken, though it was nothing of a foreign tongue to Aiolos in a sense, who had for quite some time now aligned himself to the Mandarin speaking coastal wolves.

His jaw tightens at the yearlings mention of Ruo, his muscles in his jawline twitching along the cream of his cheeks. It is this only which shows as he gathers himself once more to speak.

She was correct. He allows and turns his head round to jut his muzzle into the direction of the island, very obviously behind him. You've made it to the right place. Then turning back around. A pleasure miss, He dips his snout downward along with a lowering of his skull and back up again. I am Aiolos, Shàngjiàng. She would know the meaning of the word then, granted her heritage. Are you here to deliver a message?

Her form shifted to slightly more submissive, as her tail tucked between, but she still held her head fairly even. She tried to describe in what she could no words, that she meant no harm, and dipped her head in respect. Fanglong knew what it meant well, and he was not a simple man. Perhaps not of same-culture, but it seemed he was accepted.

"No," the dark woman replied with a head-shake, "here to join. I hunt, sing and dance."

RE: Wandering child of the earth, - Aiolos - September 30, 2020

The red Greek didnt believe he would ever get used to the idea of a woman, or anyone for that matter, lowering to him. It had happened on a number of occasions, all of which Aiolos regarded awkwardly. Now, though he was still felt odd when seeing it done, had learned to mask the 'wtf' expression from his features. Had he not been born a basterd, had he not been subjected to slavery, his bloodline would have ensured him a very different manner of upbringing. He would have been a far more callous and smug wolf then he was today.

Hunting is of course, always a desired trait and we've plenty of small mouths to feed. He spoke, a smile touching creamy cheeks to know she'd interest in joining their ranks. Sing and dance, now that is a far more unique trait. I'm sure our Empress Hua would take pleasure in this. Useful during our celebrations. They had yet to have one though the Moon Festival wouldnt be long away, nor the 'coming of age' celebration. A ceremony he hoped by then his son could be a part of.

She was blunt, "I in?" he didn't give an firm answer weather it was or not. It was rather important, since it seemed he may enjoy her skills at dance. Or so, she at least hoped so. Fanglong hoped that dance could enjoy some part of the culture, though at the same time, usually it is the men who enjoy so.

An empress ruled, she may not enjoy such skills.

A small smirk toyed at his expression and he nodded. Yes. I dont see why not. Of course, he and the guards of the ranks could keep an eye on the newcomer, make sure that she truly meant no harm to the pack and/or the pups within. She didnt seem to harbor any malice, didnt seem the shady type, but one could never be too careful. Especially with everything that had been currently happening on the mainland.

Come on. Ill show you some good hunting spots and some caches to eat from. Surely before she got down to work she'd need her rest and something to eat.

RE: Wandering child of the earth, - Fānglong - November 01, 2020

Fanglong smiled, and was happy to manage so. A thanks in mind to the siren by the sea, giving the fateful mermaid safe passage to this land. She followed the reddened one, a lion the other described, and surely; she was Yuelong member now.
