It crashed into this lonely town, - Orlaith - October 16, 2020

The best excerise was climbing. Orlaith's muscles were absolutely shinning, and she felt the need to flex them upon reaching the desinated height. Sweating, however, and now pretty exhausted, she could feel her body simply burning by the sheer amount of climbing she forced herself.

It's easy to climb, but the flaming wolf went up and down the mountain side, before peacefully resting in this area. Most likely she'll return to Kaistleoki by nightfall- but for now, needed some rest.

RE: It crashed into this lonely town, - Caróg - October 16, 2020

caróg has spent many days doing nothing much. and that can be fun at first! but even he gets bored on occasion, and he has been with the court for so long that he knows most of the good places to go inside the willows for the things he needs. so even though there is no real need to do any wandering, and he has never been that inclined to wander, caróg ventures up the ridge and into the sunspires as the sun rises high in the sky.

vrána comes with him, and she is much better at keeping an eye out for strangers, so mostly caróg does not bother. he snuffles around at the earth for anything that seems interesting, but mostly all the interesting things he has found are high up in the mountains, so there is not much to see besides ash and grass.

and that is fine! he yips to vrána as she soars from branch to branch above him, tail swaying high above his hind legs, and enjoys his walk until he stops to sniff curiously at a patch of flattened grass nearby, and it smells –

– familiar.

caróg pauses mid-step, tail still sweeping back and forth. it smells like a faerie, but it does not smell like faeries. and many of the faeries have been gone for quite some time. maybe this is one of them! maybe they are coming back to the court.

licking thoughtfully at his lip, caróg pivots around, chirping a quick note to vrána, and sets his nose to the dirt as he bounds off in its direction. he has come all the way out here to find interesting things, after all! and he has expected them to be plants, but he does not mind if they are actually other wolves.

it is a fresh trail, so it does not take long. caróg crunches through the undergrowth without paying much attention to what he is stepping all over, and then, at last, emerges into a tiny clearing dark with ash and a figure he very much recognizes, even though it has been some months since he has seen it.

he blinks owlishly, rubyred gaze locked on the figure as he lifts his head – and then, eagerly, trots forward, ears forth and nostrils flaring. his tail tucks neatly against his hind legs, because caróg has remembered that she does not like that sort of thing in her presence and he does not want to get yelled at again.

"orlaith?"

RE: It crashed into this lonely town, - Orlaith - October 20, 2020

A meek wolf approached her so, calling her name. She would've thought it was a dream, but upon lifting her head, she could see the gray and black wolf, with ruby-like eyes. He held his tail between his legs, submissive to a stranger like herself. Though while he was a stranger to her eyes, it seemed he knew of her somewhere.

"Who are you?" Orlaith hoisted herself up, while her head may held high, she kept a neutral stance with a tilted head. Curiosity, really. Something within felt oddly familiar, yet as a wolf who lost her memories- everything was only a vague resemblance of what once was. She could only feel what was once the past-

but the flaming wolf had discovered it. She care not anymore, but even then, it seemed may appear once more, in the form of this bird-like wolf.

RE: It crashed into this lonely town, - Caróg - October 31, 2020

caróg squints at her. his tail, thudding rapidly against his hind legs, stills. he sniffs the air again. and she has a different scent, now, that is not the faerie court's, but it is still orlaith. he is not imagining things. if he was imagining things, vrána would be very mad at him – tugging him away instead of just letting him watch. she knows the faeries by now, just like he does. even if this one has been missing for some time.

"caróg," he chirps, cocking his head to the side. from what he remembers she should probably be yelling at him by now, but she is not. which is strange. still squinting at her, he sets one paw forward, and then another, drawing closer and closer.

"faerie, from seelie court. just like you are, for longer than me." he pauses. "but you left." it is not an accusation – lumiya has told him that all the faeries are free to go if they want, that they are not bound to stay there. he is not so sure he believes it, not with all the stories he has heard. but orlaith is here, so certainly lumiya has let her go. maybe she has just –

– forgotten?

maybe that is what happens when you leave the faerie court. caróg's bloodred gaze sharpens as he lifts his head. "you forgot faeries when you left?"

RE: It crashed into this lonely town, - Orlaith - November 02, 2020

The name was unfamiliar, not even the nostalgia that usually would hit, missed. She previously knew a 'caw', but did not know the full name of this bloodied fairy. Long ago was he but a trusted fool, someone silly despite the weird rituals he gave to the crows at times. However long ago that it was, and for Orlaith, she cannot put a candle to what was forgotten.

Her forested eyes narrowed at the mention of the court. What she had been told was they didn't value her so, and she left it at that. Did the leader not share, why she had left? It was typical, when you lose warriors you did not care for. The knight could only snort at such a thought, "I been told," she started, "that I was not respected in that court."

"I do not remember it, but I don't think i'm on friendly terms with.. The fairies."
