take my head and kick it in - Banshee - October 18, 2020

Her fur's caked with mud, mostly the silver of her nape and belly.  She's hidden among the willows in hopes of perfecting her stalk and crouch for when she sneaks.  Her trade's not the sort for hunting.  She couldn't care less about that; leave it to the soft wolves.  She means to master the skills needed to become a rogue, and while her pelt is great for night-stalking, the silver and white on her back and chest complicate matters.  So, she's rolled around in the mud, dulling the color and sullying up her fur in general.

Now she pads between the trees, slinking around trunks and being mindful of her pawsteps.  She's swift and purposeful; her body is built for speed and ease of movement.  Banshee's large ears swivel as she sneaks through the copse.  All she hears are various nocturnal creatures.  Her nostrils flare -- nothing of note there, either.  She continues on.

RE: take my head and kick it in - Norah - November 21, 2020

Norah's travels across the wilderness had taken her further than she had initially anticipated to wander. Her road took through, what felt like endless plains, with only thin lines of forest somewhere in the distance as well as a shiny reflection of the lakes scattered across the lands. She had grown tired of being out in the open and in plain view, though in the gray-brown colour scheme of late autumn her silvery-black pelt blended in. Especially at dusk and dawn, when the sparse light, mist and shadows made her look almost like a spectral being.

Yet even with this advantage the cover of trees was, what she yearned for, and eventually her wishes were fulfilled. The forest that greeted her seemed harmless at the entrance - rivulets, birch trees and moderate richness of plants that could co-exist with their greedy neighbours. As she walked further the forest changed, giving place to willow trees, whose long, thin branches caressed the pools of water beneath them. There Norah stopped to take a drink and think about her next actions, but a sound of soft footfalls caught her attention and made her pause.

Carefully she cast her glance around, searching for the invisible audience, but it had not yet arrived and at times their tread was so light, one would believe that they have been mistaken. She decided then to play safe, she moved out of plain sight and hid herself among shrubs. There she lied down and positioned herself so that she could still catch a glimpse of, who was coming.
