them old mistakes are gone - Spica - October 22, 2020 After leaving Kaistleoki, Spica and @Syrma set off in northern direction to find the faerie pack that Syrma'd mentioned. Already Spica was excited to find that they were going on an adventure together! There were a lot of different scents hanging around the plateau and Spica couldn't help but think back to when they were kids. It was unclear whether it was actually inhabited now, and Spica decided to skirt around it just in case. Following the plains beside the Plateau lead the pair of them towards Ravensblood Forest, the place where they'd last seen @Acheron and where they'd met Finley from the Saints (who'd later turned up in Kaistleoki, whaaat, but Spica had never managed to ask her why). The forest was abandoned by the Saints now and the trip through it a lot less eventful than it'd been the last time they had visited here. When they were almost through the forest and they could see glimpses of the world beyond they decided to take a break. Spica rested for maybe five minutes before she jumped up and announced, I'm gonna explore a bit!and she dashed off. She knew that Syrma'd come if she wanted to, and that she'd stay and rest if she wanted that, so she didn't bother to invite her mirror image. There was something creepy about the forest, and that was pretty much why they'd decided to not rest until they were almost through. Seeing the outside world was like a nice comfort blanket to have. However, now that she had that comfort blanket on one hand Spica felt a lot more courageous to actually explore the forest and so rather than heading out of the forest, she stayed within. Spica sniffed around a bit until she found a tree that was dripping red sap. It looked like blood, and Spica let out a Wowunder her breath while she gingerly sniffed to inspect it. Cool, albeit creepy. RE: them old mistakes are gone - Castor - October 28, 2020 He wanders inland, determined to get a scope of the land surrounding the fields where he'd met the golden boy. Perhaps he can make sense of the strange familiarity all around him — or try, at least. Yet the feeling only grows, and with it a strange anxiety, a tension gripping him more tightly with each passing hour. He's been here before, he's sure of it — but when? He can't remember, no matter how hard he tries. The young prince is so entangled in his inner conflict that he doesn't even stop to marvel at the trees, or take in the atmosphere of the forest. Nothing pulls him from his reverie until the scent of another reaches him. A familiar scent. The realization freezes him in place, turned to stone by the sudden, paralyzing fear of awakening his past. In many ways, the mystery is easier; comforting, even. The mystery allows him to believe what he knows to be lies, to cling to a legacy that was never meant to be his. But it is mine, he tells himself, struck by a wave of fierce stubbornness, and the spell is broken. He starts forward, hearing the movement now. Close now — and then he sees her. You — I know you. You're —Too young to be my mother, he realizes, cutting off the words that had tumbled out of him before he'd even had time to think them. The girl looks to be his age, though, as far as he can tell — which can only mean... Is your mother named Speedy? His heart is beating fast now, his mouth dry; he doesn't know when that'd happened. All he knows is that he needs the girl to answer, he needs her to say yes, to be what he is looking for. She has to. RE: them old mistakes are gone - Venamis - October 29, 2020 Just a cameo. :)
Drawn to dark places, Venamis spent several roaming among its dense foliage and prowling along the woodland's many shadows. The vagabond felt safe there, secure in this world of ash, muted cyan and enhanced crimson shades, void of the brightness found beneath a midday sun. He was at once fond of Ravensblood, and fancied that he could lay his head there when the need arose. On the fourth day of his residence there, as he trailed a regular deer path toward the direction of his chosen resting place, Venamis was looking forward to having his fill of the fat, greedy squirrel he'd managed to slay. He padded carefully along the route, listening for the squelch of each paw in the mud, before a lobe twitched in the direction of a nearby voice. The raven carried on, hackles lifting in preparation of communicating his offense at another's proximity and jaw tensing to better grip his prize. Rich blood trickled from a puncture wound with his tightened hold, enough to mar the white of his chin; fierce Winterwhite eyes scrutanised the unfamiliar she-wolf from behind. Venamis emitted a soft rumble, mostly to himself, and would be sure to lash his tail in annoyance should she turn to look his way. She was not alone, however, and the rogue blinked toward another young wolf who approached the female. From the distance between him and them, he could make out no similarities that might pair them as siblings, but the earthen male's words were enough to rouse his wonder. He didn't stick around to find out. He didn't care to witness what held the potential to be a jovial family reunion. Possessive over his kill and eager to feed, the bristling yearling disappeared into the welcoming shade of the bleeding trunks, off to seek his private rendezvous to feed. RE: them old mistakes are gone - Spica - October 31, 2020 Spica's interest in the creepy sap was quickly distracted from by the appearance of some dude. He said he knew her, which made Spica instant defensive. What if this was a Moonspear wolf? She didn't know him, and she felt suspicious right away. In the midst of meeting this weird guy she totally missed the other guy who lingered nearby as he came, passed and went. The guy in front of her and if her mother was Speedy and Spica decided to play it cool. What's it to you?she asked him, defensively and coolly, clearly wary of giving out any information just like that. |
