senpai notice me - Caelum - October 31, 2020 Thunder roared high above the mountain in the night. While others cowered (except Mira, probably; Mira never cowered) Caelum sat outside in the rain and he watched the thunder clap and heard it roar its song. Caelum had always loved the thunder, from the first moment he'd heard and seen it, but ever since Kukutux' story, he had developed rather a crush on mother thunder. But he was so small and insignificant compared to her. How could he ever make her notice him? While Caelum listened to her soft rumbling, he lifted his nose and howled a song of his own to join in with hers. Maybe that would impress her. Maybe that would make her see him. RE: senpai notice me - Antares - November 08, 2020 Already compromised in the rainshowers, Antares had let his patrol of the Glen run seamlessly into a hike up the mountainside. He didn't really have any real news to report, other than that it seemed like things were going well for the valley below, but he felt like checking in anyway--mostly eager to just stay going, despite the signs of the storm all around. Maybe he could stop by and see how Mira was doing since getting back, or find his cousin he had welcomed to their future hunts. Who knew what else would be out in the rain like this anyway. But it turned out, as the thunder rose and stampeded across the skies, so did Caelum's voice climb to join in. Antares gave it a second to listen, but soon decided to zero in on that since he was headed along that way. He arrived from the nightshade dripping-wet, but in good spirits as he found his sibling. Brother,he rumbled as a hello during the last of his long strides in. Are you part of the storm now too?he asked, referencing his song with a curious glint. RE: senpai notice me - Caelum - November 10, 2020 It felt so good to be one with the storm, hawoo-ing with mother thunder as she crashed and roared! His attention was fully on the storm so he did not even notice his brother's approach at first. Usually when he was outside alone, nobody approached him, for they didn't like to get wet and cold. Caelum did not mind getting wet, and he didn't really get cold very easily anyway. It seemed his brother was the same. An ear perked towards his approaching brother at the greeting, and then his head turned, his howl to join in the latest rumble fading away. He nodded when his brother asked him a question -- yes, he was now a part of the storm. Yes, I sing with her,he explained, just in case it was not clear enough. RE: senpai notice me - Antares - November 17, 2020 What seemed worth noting was not only his easy affirmation, but the storm's state as her. He wondered if he could zero in on that fact somehow. So I heard,he replied beneath a slow smirk, and lightning streaked across distant skies. Seconds later, thunder answered with a low, booming reply. Antares turned an ear. Think she likes your singing? You're the only one out here so far brave enough to join in,he baited a bit after his question that could be an edge if his brother opted to take it the wrong way. Of course, he would have to commend his dedication to the cause. But don't let me interrupt your duet, if it's too important.he added as an out entirely. Really, he'd let him go for it if that was something he needed to do, not about to discourage him, or tell him to get someplace dry when he was out lurking too. RE: senpai notice me - Caelum - November 20, 2020 As lightning struck across the skies Caelum watched, breathless. He loved her beautiful flashes the most, although her rumbling was just as appreciated. They were all a part of her, as far as Caelum was concerned. His brother asked him if he thought she liked his singing. The note about bravery was taken in, though Caelum attached little value to either of these two things; the question or the note on bravery. He stoically answered, I do not know.He glanced at the sky; he did not know if she liked his singing, because she never did speak back. Not in a language that he understood, anyway. We do not speak the same language, the lightning mother and I.With a note of melancholy — which made Caelum look as if he was an old soul trapped in a young body — Caelum lifted his head to the sky and glanced out towards where her flashes had showed themselves and her rumbles had sang to him. A love that could never be, but a love that he pursued, nonetheless. RE: senpai notice me - Antares - November 30, 2020 When the storm spoke in the faraway skies, he seemed to bask in its presence. Hm, well maybe you could learn it still? You're young, and there will be many storms yet to come,he mentioned, meaning he hoped his brother had a long life ahead of him, and storms weren't going anywhere either--unless their weather turned on its head come spring, which, hopefully not. While distracted by greater things, Caelum didn't seem entirely against his company, so Antares lingered longer still. In the midst of this, he had also picked up on the Lightning Mother bit, and wondered where it came from exactly, or if it was a conclusion drawn by his brother himself. Maybe she at least appreciates the company.he supposed for him, language barrier or not, it shouldn't get in the way of that. After all, not all were brave enough to sit out in a storm and howl back and Ostrega boys were handsome sorts. So, good company, right? RE: senpai notice me - Caelum - December 08, 2020 His brother suggested that he may yet be able to learn the language of the storms, and Caelum wondered if that was true. He did not know anyone who spoke the language of storms, but then again, he did like to listen to her. Perhaps one day it would start to make sense; perhaps she could teach him, then. Yah,Caelum said. He didn't acknowledge that maybe he could learn in any more than that and didn't share his thoughts that maybe the lightning mother could teach him. It didn't matter and in his mind, that was already a fact set in stone, so it was irrelevant to share it. His brother suggested then that she might appreciate the company, and again Caelum simply nodded and said, Yah.He did not hope or dream or wish; he knew that she must appreciate it, for she continued to show herself to him and kept him company, for now. RE: senpai notice me - Antares - December 27, 2020 Though the indication of it stayed simple, his brother didn't appear to discredit Antares' thoughts on the matter so far. Honestly he didn't really suppose there was a whole lot else that needed said; not often was he the more talkative side of a conversation, anyway. His younger siblings did tend to be kind of curious like that, but he appreciated them for it. Thus, he wanted to stay with him a little more--and the storm was an interesting focal point since he was soaked anyway; he may as well take it in, unless it was getting in the way of his brother's storm flirting. Is it fine if I stay and watch with you a while longer?he asked, spoken low. If it was not too intrusive of him (because he certainly understood the need for privacy sometimes--but nothing seemed that bugged about Caelum..), he would settle in comfortably... RE: senpai notice me - Caelum - January 05, 2021 Caelum looked at his brother as he waited to hear if there was more he wished to say. He did say more in the end and asked if he could stay longer. Caelum nodded at his brother and glanced at the skies as another low rumble filled them, anticipating the flash of lightning to follow soon. fade here? :)
RE: senpai notice me - Antares - January 11, 2021 Caelum accepted his company with a nod, so he did go on to make himself comfortable there. The yearling Ostrega was certainly glad for the time with his brother, and ever-curious to see more with him now. Now with this much established, enough to give him something to think about, anyway.. it was easier for him to lapse into silence now so he went with that flow. And, once he was a touch more settled, the skies rumbled deep and distant. Antares blinked, senses all attuned to the storm. |
