kodoku - Kiyoshi - November 01, 2020 After his journey to the border to search for signs of Toshi, the young boy ventured back inward to the heart of the forest. He had believed he'd smelled elk earlier that morning, but he'd only ever known the scent of the animal from the kills that had been brought to him, before he had joined the Kingslend wolves. Kiyoshi wondered if the lady Deorwine would be interested to know of his potential find. When he came to the conclusion that the pack leader likely did not wish to hear news of this nature from a child, he set his sights on finding someone who could share their trade. The Draconid boy had grown thirsty for knowledge. He had matured enough to want to find his passions, aspiring to earn his first trade with the elken who had taken his family in. He wished to learn more about what others had accomplished, for he imagined the familial group would have a variety of skills among them. Lowering his nose to the earth, Kiyoshi searched for a scent and plodded forward. RE: kodoku - Célnes - November 02, 2020 She knew of the disappearence of Toshi, and was rather displeased on the matter. She wondered where had he gone lost- it was an odd switch, from Toshi to Kiyoshi, but she simply wished both would remain. Célnes knew the calf was also looking for the brother, but wondered when the mother would introduce herself as well. As far as she knew, that woman was lurking somewhere near the forest, but yet to present herself to the Kings.
She was to be welcomed, after all, being that of the boys mother. On the mind of them, one of the Draconids had appeared. His nose was low to the ground, sniffing for something, and she did not disrupt. With a smile, the elken woman watched from afar, wandering if he would scent her. RE: kodoku - Kiyoshi - December 01, 2020 It did not take long before the smells of the unfamiliar were washed away by a scent that he knew confidently. The young boy turned his sights to the woman of the forest and his tail flagged softly behind him. She had been so kind to him since he had arrived on her doorstep in search of his brother. She had offered him and their mother a home – had allowed him to learn the wood and had expected only one thing from him. Kiyoshi had not thought to touch the elk who roamed the forest; he knew their importance to the queen. “Lady Celnes Deorwine,” he greeted her with a respectful bow of his head and a submissive stance. The Draconid boy wondered if she would like to join him on his border search. It would have been polite for him to ask, but the stoic young figure waited to see if his lady needed anything from him. He had been a member of Kingslend for more than a month and he expected that there would come a time when she would inquire to him about his aspirations within the folds of the elken wolves. RE: kodoku - Célnes - December 08, 2020 The boy was what she imagined, was something every mother dreamed to bare. He was polite and loyal, knowing his duties quite well despite being young enough to still be counted as a 'Calf' amongst them all. Soon he too would join the ranks above, and so far she noticed the most he would guard the borders.. Perhaps when the time comes she should grant him the opportunity to be a Saber, feeling it was the most appropriate- but in the end it was his decision.
"Please, call me Célnes." She appreciated so his nature of bowing, and the Deorwine chuckled slightly as she smiled warmly at the sight. "I was wondering when I could meet your mother, I understand she is somewhere on the outskirts, but hasn't been formally intro'd into Kingslend.." The mother of the Draconids seem to keep to herself, and not once has the King formally met her. She was not formally accepted to the ranks, and as far as she knew, the rest were simply tolerating her presence that seemed so little.. @Cenric would know of her presence. It was also a worry- for if she was any other color then the gray her pups held, there would be trouble ahead. RE: kodoku - Kiyoshi - December 16, 2020 There were two items that struck Kiyoshi strangely. The first was that the lady of the forest wished for him to stop speaking to her and using her last name. This seemed disrespectful, but the child did not want to disobey the woman who had taken him in. He realized that it would take some time to break the habit of calling her by her full name, but that it was only done with respect and care. The young Draconid wanted to make sure she would not regret allowing him into her ranks – into her home. The second piece was about his mother. Kiyoshi looked out across the territory and into the unknown wilderness with a peculiar expression on his young features. His mother had said she would join the Kingslend beasts and would align herself within the ranks of the elken-kin. She had also admitted that she’d felt some hesitation about pledging themselves to an unknown group. The young boy had not understood any of the intricacies of finding a suitable home. “She only had second thoughts. She may have tried to clear her head before asking for your permission to join, lady Deorwine. But yes, my mother is usually just outside of the forest.” RE: kodoku - Célnes - December 22, 2020 "What does she look like? I would like to warn the guards to leave her be." It was also an inquiry to her particular features, as the family seemed to hold gray-tones.. It was more acceptable then any other color so far. If the mother was white, there was quite a few strings the King would have to pull to gain such an acceptance, if the factor was achievable.
Black or more or less a mystery altogether, Célnes thought if it came to be, she has around a 50/50 shot. It was an obvious choice to the white tones. RE: kodoku - Kiyoshi - December 31, 2020 The young boy furrowed his brow slightly and nodded. "She is dark with blue eyes and a white splotch on her chest," Kiyoshi answered the lady of the wood. He hoped that this would provide them with enough information that they might leave Kaori alone, at least until she had decided if she would join their ranks or not. The young stalwart wasn't certain if she could find a way to overcome her worries about the pack. He also did not know if there was a way for him to help her. Kiyoshi only knew that the elken group had been the last to see his brother. If there was a chance of finding Toshi again, it would be within the ranks of Kingslend. |
