Retrace two times - Keyni - November 05, 2020

Open to anyone!

Sticking close to a relatively small area, Keyni was interested in seeing what this part of the Wilds might offer her. She hadn't recalled being to this little section before, and deemed it worth investigating. During her time away, a small part of her wondered what packs had risen, and which had fell. Wondered what kind of wolves lurked just around the corner these days.

The chill in the night air reminded her that winter was only a few short weeks away. Though her coat had already grown in thick and silky, there was only so much that protection from the elements would get her. She would need to start thinking about joining a group, and soon. But she was loath to rush into it. Not unless she was absolutely sure she'd be a good fit, where her unusual talents would be welcomed. Her lone, pale figure stood poised at the edge of the massive, semi frozen lake, it's surface glinting like fragile glass. Somewhere overhead, an owl cried, pale wings fluttering to span their shadow above her form as it began his nightly hunt.

RE: Retrace two times - Dragomir - November 08, 2020

Having decided it was prudent to stay near a source of water for now, Dragomir spent the last two days making himself a suitable one-wolf camp a little ways from the lake's shore. A large leafless oak served as his base of operations, with a hollow dug into the lifted roots just large enough to accommodate him in bad weather and a second, smaller hole serving as a makeshift cache in a knot of roots to the left. It stood upon a squat hill, giving him a decent vantage point to survey his surroundings, and a pretty good view of the lake, too.

Nightfall found him laying atop the hill with ears and eyes turned toward the lake, a mostly eaten beaver trapped between his forearms. More specifically, he watched the she-wolf who stood at the edge of it and the silent sky hunter that dipped over her. From a distance, all he could make out under the pale moon was that her coat was mostly a light colour that picked up and reflected the light. Keyni was a little bit like a beacon as a result.

While he, black as pitch save for his pink nose, would be practically invisible. But he'd never been the sort to lurk in the shadows and watch. After surveying her long enough to decide that she was likely no threat to him, and growing more and more curious about the fairer sex as the weather grew colder, Dragomir loosed a low, crooning bark to request her attention.
