The Sealord sought for the Saltking, not a challenge upon ranks, but rather a friendly spar. She had not been able to release the pent up energy since the eventful day of the cliff, while an eye was taken, she also had to sacrifice a leg in return. Umbra didn't find it shameful, but simply unrested, and bested by the situation at hand.
Though it was not the only reason. Not all packs were about power, but for the seafang, it was crucial. He was large and muscular, but at times that proved little to actual combat. As a leader, she wanted to know how prowess.
