Everything has Changed - Rosencrantz - November 17, 2020 | technically not on RUS lands so welcome to everyone since they are relocating!
| light drizzle | 7:00PM It had been months since Tundra and he departed to find her family. Days turned into weeks, weeks into months - until finally, they decided to part ways in order to not keep the paladin far from Rusalka for much longer. With a belly full of nerves, he approached the waining borders of where he lad left them last - ready to get turned away for leaving without a word earlier despite returning. But no one was here. Either the pack had fallen apart or they had moved once again... the later was not impossible, Rusalka had moved many times even in his near-year with them. And so, with this in mind, he wandered the lands... hoping to find a scent indicating that they had moved on elsewhere, hoping to find something to cling to. RE: Everything has Changed - Bijou - November 17, 2020 trouble came for the man with half a face, in the form of a skulking grey she-wolf. under normal circumstances she would have not been so brazen to cross over claimed land, but the scents here were almost entirely faded -- and besides, this bloke did it! he appeared to be searching; intrigued by this bit of novella interest, bijou strode forth. looks like you've lost something?her voice , as always, was smooth and deliberate -- but there was nothing soft about her tone. can't be sense, never met a man with that... what is it you're looking for? if it's your girl, maybe she left you for a woman with a pretty face. RE: Everything has Changed - Rosencrantz - November 17, 2020 Carefully he picked out the smells... some fresher than others, some muddled the familiar scents of Rusalkans, Rosalyn and Erzulie were the ones he focused on the most out of each scent he came across. How long ago did they wander off, away from here? Was there a tragedy that moved them once more? A frown formed on his deformed face at the thought of not being there to assist - he had been gone far too long, much longer than he or Tundra had ever anticipated. Though he did not blame his wandering wife for that, he disliked having left to begin with regardless. Slowly with his nose to the ground, he sniffed the soil and traces, hoping to catch a trail that would lead him in the right direction. He would search tirelessly and only when turned away at their border would he rest. It seemed his efforts would come to a stall... The young figure of a female approached him, none that he recognized, and instinctively he almost lunged to scare her off - but this may not be claimed lands; and so, he simply glared for now. No.He answered flatly. Were they lost if they simply found a new home? He found the lands they had before, and so technically, in his mind, he didn't lose anything yet. It was simply a search. Already he found her rather annoying, she liked to hear herself talk from the looks of it; seemed like the type to try and get a rise out of him too with pointless insults. Silence. His tone continued, flat, uninterested, and dismissive. He wanted her to either be actually useful if not quiet. Going away would be nice too so he could focus on his search on the wives and their path away from here. pls don't worry about matching! NaMoWriMo thingy B] stretching my writing fingers
RE: Everything has Changed - Bijou - November 17, 2020 bijou was met first with a glare, and then a command. fancy thinking this man, amid a ruined and desolate moor, was capable of commanding anything! bijou's head tilted back, a soft peal of laughter rising skyward. i don't think i shall.the sojourner purled, gathering her long legs under her and striding forth. hit a nerve, did i? was it about your girl.. or your face?the seawolf mock pouted before making a display of considering something that had just occurred to her. you know.. maybe the bear chased them off..bijou weighed the idea with a flick of her ear, a mock gasp of surprise following. maybe the same bear responsible for your face? RE: Everything has Changed - Rosencrantz - November 17, 2020 The woman had less-so struck a nerve, and more-so was simply annoying the fuck out of the so-far-patient paladin. He had been good so far, even after leaving Tundra's side to go back to the pack that he called home for so long... nothing had given him a reason to snap - but this girl, she may be the first in a while if she kept going down this path. Maybe it was the air here in the Teekon wilds that just shortened his fuse, yes, that was possible, considering all the shit this place had put him through in the past year. And yet, here he is, returning once again to the shackles that chained him here. Neither. He growled, what lips he had left pulling back in a grimace. You annoy me.It felt like all this was just a waste of time, a black hole sucking each precious second that slipped through his paws as this girl distracted him as she prattled on. What could she possibly want with him? Honey hue narrowed suspiciously as she mentions a bear. It was oddly useful to know about such a thing - maybe tragedy did strike - and yet, it was suspicious for her to mention anything of the type that may even remotely point him in any good direction. A bear means if they survived the pack would have indeed moved (unless he found a mass grave while here). So she was either slipping him nuggets of information... or she was lying. Both were highly possible since he knew nothing of her. Still... it was something he supposed. No. A deadman did this.In some way, to him, a deadman did. If he ever saw that sandy man again, Rosencrantz would be sure to end that cannibal's pathetic life there and then - if others in the wilds haven't already. But she didn't need to know the man was still alive, just a deadman walking... He prowled closer as she did too. His cold stare continuing to dig into her, silently daring her to continue this little gambit of hers. RE: Everything has Changed - Bijou - November 17, 2020 bijou's eyes lit with something -- perhaps self-aggrandizing amusement -- to be labeled so easily. annoying' -- was that all? the male's teeth were bared in a perpetual grimace. bijou's showed briefly in a dogged grin. if he believed her only a gnat, it would make the blade that much easier to sink home -- she had spent her entire life being underestimated, and it always worked in her favor. the seafarer's brow lifted at the language the stranger elected to employ. deadman had an all appealing ring to it. were you fighting him, or making out when things got a little too rough for you?she'd never let someone within that close a distance -- not enough that they managed to walk away with half her face like a pulled table cloth from a picnic. don't worry , i won't tell. RE: Everything has Changed - Rosencrantz - November 18, 2020 It appeared no matter what he said, the bitch was amused by it regardless. He had encountered individuals like this before. Pests are what he called them, even so, they only seemed to love it - proven by that look in her eyes by just being called annoying. She would prove to be nothing but troublesome to get rid of, and there was only one way to truly try and get this one off his back. To stop entertaining her in some way and bore her to death until she eventually lost interest and left on her own accord. Reacting in any way would only prove to keep her around longer as some kind of twisted plaything for her enjoyment. And so, with that realization and note; he chose not to respond anymore. Taking a deep breath to calm his previously riled nerves, a completely blazé facade took over the behemoth's appearance. Perhaps he could use this as a test for his patience, to practice keeping a level head despite the situation at hand... even if he would simply prefer to separate this woman's head from her shoulders, he was certain the fight would only elicit more coming from this wench in the near future. He focused on the ocean's wake heard in the distance, remembering how much the Rusalkan wolves adored it. How it brought them so much joy - it made him wonder if they remained close by and if he should simply walk along the shores and hope to find them somewhere near there in a new location... It was an idea, once he got rid of the flea that was currently biting his back. Another deep breath and he took in the salty tang of the air that poisoned his sense of smell still to this day. Though refreshing, it did muddle any other scents mingling in the sand. Hopefully now she would lose interest. For now, maybe he would continue to wander and pick out the scents in the dirt... unless she initiated combat, he would ignore her presence for now. This simply meant his search would be on pause... not wanting to bring this thing back with him if he did find Rusalka once more. RE: Everything has Changed - Bijou - November 18, 2020 regretfully, even in silence there was very little boring about this man to bijou. she studied him in silent mirth as he steeled his nerves, breathing deep of the brine which doused their senses. the scent of his own pelt betrayed him. coarse as it was, it lacked the salt which settled in deep along bijou's pelt. he was but a newcomer, passing through. would anyone notice him then, if he was to go missing? a broad smile then, as if she had not just thought of what his lifeblood might feel like beneath her feet. surely anyone who looked upon bijou would not see the tempest which raged beneath her blithe facade; she was bijou, ever-smiling and unsinkable. "so it was from a lover then." bijou finished for him. if he was going to be silent, bijou would have to paint in the details herself -- and she delighted in piecing together bizarre storylines from sundry contextual clues. "i've got a few of those myself." the seafarer winked as she turned her hips to him, showing a bite line that raked down her haunch. "you don't look like you're afraid of a good time. did you kill him, then?" her eyes sparkled with interest, ready to imagine rosencrantz and his gay lover caught in the throes of violent, delightful sex -- only to cruelly end with the abrupt loosening of some vital vein... beautiful. RE: Everything has Changed - Rosencrantz - November 18, 2020 Of course, she continued. The man half expected her to do so for a while until eventually something else caught her attention. It was all a matter of waiting it out. And just like that, she picked the perverted portrait with which she had begun painting all on her own - it wasn't as if her mind would have changed if he had said otherwise earlier, the archangel assumed. The witch wanted a rise out of him after all, she would choose any route she so desired if it meant getting on his nerves. She turned her hips to him, showing off some markings near her haunches. From her suggestive wink and posture, he gathered they were from lovers of the past. Leaving their own mark upon her young flesh. As she continued with bombarding him with personal questions; instead of answering any of her questions, he chose to turn the attention on her instead. So you're a whore, then.Unenthousiastically he called out over his shoulder as his attention turned back onto the moors and its details. RE: Everything has Changed - Bijou - November 18, 2020 a whore? bijou's expression lifted to one of great delight. any response at all suggested he wasn't as bored with her as he pretended to be. certainly, anyone who boasted her alleged profession was the furthest thing from boring. "does that interest you?" bijou's long legs swept her closer to him. she flicked her tail tip towards his haunch suggestively, a gaudy grin spreading across her muzzle. "i could be gentle." bijou promised in a husky whisper. "for a price." bijou let her tail trail to her hocks, her expression growing serious: "i'll need the other half of your face." RE: Everything has Changed - Rosencrantz - November 18, 2020 Perhaps answering at all was a mistake, but it was worth a shot. Hoping that she could not handle the same shit she dished out was often the case in many like her, unfortunately for him, it didn't seem to be the case right here and now. Of course it wasn't. It was never that easy for him. It took everything from him to avoid his eye casting a hateful glance her way for even touching him in any way. As if the mere brief, light, touch was blasphemous and tainted that spot. No.The word crawled out in a guttural tone. Already he pictured it, her digging in deeper as to what he was saying no to. The gentle offer, the demand for the other side of his face - never would she verbally accept the real reason for his refusal... but maybe he should take her up on it, maybe break her back and leave her on the shores for the gulls while he wanders off finally free of this parasite. At least in the throws of screwing he could get the upper hand from behind. It was an idea... one he wasn't fond of, one that didn't seem any easier than just trying his best to keep her from getting too involved in his life. In fact if it failed it would only worsen his situation here. Even if that snap would be oh so satisfying. For now, he kept walking, thinking that if he kept moving she would just fade away like an itch he simply could not reach. RE: Everything has Changed - Bijou - November 18, 2020 HES SUCH A RIOT
no, came a terse and forceful answer. he hadn't liked her suggestion anymore than he'd liked her touch - it reminded bijou of the way crabs instinctively scuttled away when shadows crossed their path. bijou adopted the mein of a wounded puppy who'd been unexpectedly kicked. was she that ugly? was it the scar? or was it... because she didn't have a giant cock dangling between her legs? ah well. if there was one thing in the world that bijou dared not cross, it was consent. he'd said his piece, now he better be prepared to hear her's. "s'alright." bijou confided in the man who, for all purposes, had made it remarkably clear she was being intolerable. "you're not my type any more than i'm yours." another wink, this one free of any insult. "i'll collect your face later." with bijou, it was often difficult to tell whether she was joking or not. anything spoken was done so in a way that could be perceived as honest; bijou gave the male a little space, indicating he might be at the end of his suffering... that is, if he didn't say something compelling first. or if she didn't change her mind. RE: Everything has Changed - Rosencrantz - November 18, 2020 He was almost shocked at the lack of —yes and that came from her. Though she wasn't quiet either, she seemed almost ready to drop the whole thing and let them both move on with their lives... despite the little threat that followed right after. Wonderful, just what he needed, someone else to watch out for and protect the remaining bits of his face from. Maybe at least this one won't swallow it and shit it out later. Maybe that is what pissed him off most about that interaction, the fact that a part of him was now a pile of refuse somewhere rotting in the dirt. Maggots and worms wriggling around until it was nothing but a dry piece of shit stain on the surface somewhere. What an inglorious way to go. As she stepped away, he almost offered a sigh of relief that this suffering was close to coming to an end. Almost. Caught in his throat, Rosencrantz refused to give any sign just yet, knowing very well that it would only open more gates for her to continue to stick around. He'd express himself later, for now the game continued so long as she remained within earshot. RE: Everything has Changed - Bijou - November 18, 2020 in bijou, things were cyclical. harass someone for a bit, lose interest, find a new target, tire of that one... rosencrantz had served a purpose for now, but she sensed his patience was wearing thin. when wolves grew tired, they grew violent - she was not one to shirk from a fight, but given his hale appearance and the fact he seemed to be looking for connections, bijou was not stupid enough to overturn the pot. just let it simmer a bit, maybe. she stopped at one of his large paw prints, studying it. by now he had to realize she had drifted off. pointedly, bijou lowered her snout and got a good whiff of rozenstank -- when her head rose, it was with a beguiling grin. "i'll just take this one for the road. until we meet again." only, it had sounded a bit like eat instead of meet -- but who knew? the distance between them was growing ever long, and the wind had a way of distorting words over distance. |
