All I need is a head full of hope - Bridget - November 20, 2020 @Orlaith :eyes: (tags are for reference!)
The Court was officially over. Bridget had grouped up with @Sundance and @Teya at the close, the two being the only ones she could reliably find after. She'd taken leave of them briefly to see if she could track down @Izumi, but she'd lost the other woman's trail in the mountains. Before she gave up she figured she'd check out the scene from the high ground that the plateau afforded. Bridget inhaled a deep breath, then sighed. In a few ways she was sorry that the Court had come to a close, but that couldn't displace her excitement in looking towards what came next. As long as she could travel with friends and find something new before winter fell, she'd be alright. WC: 122
RE: All I need is a head full of hope - Orlaith - November 25, 2020 The place was rather popular for wolves- and so Orlaith decided herself to check it every so often. While they weren't claiming it, she always felt it was better to know what kind of neighbors were nearby, whether they were friendly.. Or not. She knew a few stayed nearby for quite some time, however it seemed they had moved on long ago, and occasionally did she catch the scent of another small group nearby who didn't introduce themself to her, but they didn't cause any trouble, so the knight never sought them.
Recently though she has caused quite some trouble, particularly leaving without a word which caused some scorn from Hiero and Ira, but nontheless, Orlaith brushed them off and continued on with said duties, which included the patrol around the territory. If asked she would say she was checking for any marks of the bear, and wouldn't stray far this time.. Probably. "Ah, you someone new settling here?" In the distant was a golden woman, some reason they felt familiar, yet Orlaith, who lost memories long ago, could never tell anymore. Everything seemed to be a string of familiarity and nostalgia, that she started to ignore the whole process. Calling out to her, she remained with a rather friendly, but guarded posture with a raised brow of curiosity. RE: All I need is a head full of hope - Bridget - November 25, 2020 Bridget could hardly believe it when she turned and saw Orlaith was the one who was approaching. Her disbelief only grew when her former packmate addressed her formally, as though she were a stranger. You have to be shitting with me. Really?Bridget looked at her a long moment, her brow cocked skeptically. What the fuck, Orlaith?! Where have you been? Bridget hadn't heard what happened, only that the woman had left. She wasn't much involved with any pack drama that didn't directly affect her, and she hadn't really had time to get to know the warrior well. Still, she'd enjoyed her company, and something about her had intrigued the golden medic. Finding out she'd left had been a pretty big bummer, actually, not that Bridget would judge too harshly. RE: All I need is a head full of hope - Orlaith - November 25, 2020 "You know me?" Well, great. Yet another wolf that seemed to know her, but the memory drew but a blank. There was the air of nostalgia, but majority of the time Orlaith grew to ignore these feelings, as they were no longer her own, but a past she couldn't even summon forth anymore, and the memories but a haze of what once was.
"Uhhhh, listen I don't really remember a lot of things, who are you?" It was easy to summerize the commander couldn't really things, and she wasn't sure how much they knew each other.. Though how she was greeted, it seemed they knew more then just a 'little it' and more of pals. An awkward grin approached her face as the woman swore like a pirate. RE: All I need is a head full of hope - Bridget - November 26, 2020 Yes I know you!Bridget was flummoxed. What, did you hit your head or something? The medic showed as she started (not so subtly) eyeing Orlaith's skull for any signs of it having been bashed in or some similar shit. Of course it would have been months since she left the court, so not likely to be much sign of it anymore even if that was the case. It's Bridget. Is that why you left the Court, because you went and forgot to come back? Fuck, that's wild. That'd explain it, though. If this wasn't some kind of a weird joke the ex-faerie was playing, then it made a lot of sense, actually. WC: 113
RE: All I need is a head full of hope - Orlaith - November 27, 2020 "I was hit by lightning a few months ago." Her left paw lifted slightly to pat her right arm, as the scars were still quite visible. She suspected they wouldn't heal anytime soon, and only as the years would come, could she finally get rid of that. They were odd, definitely not like a battle scar for this zigzagged all over, and only stopped near where her shoulder was.
Orlaith doesn't know if she was directly hit, but she imagined if she was, she would be dead. She remembered faintly discussion that the lightning had hit the ground and simply electrocuted her, and the Count. It was an unfortunate destiny, for the two were connected in the loss of what it gave. "So you're from the Court? Heard it disbanded, we got Izumi from that." With the mention of the fairies, she grinned lightly while mentioning the other. She of course, was still gloating over the fact they dispersed, but thankfully she perhaps just looks like a friendly knight at the moment. It seemed she knew this one though, even if Orlaith doesn't directly remember. RE: All I need is a head full of hope - Bridget - November 28, 2020 Well that was more intense than what Bridget expected. How the fuck did lightning wipe someone's brain like that? Bigger question - how did she survive that shit? Yknow what, not really important, wasn't like she was going to be able to sort it out anyway. Oh. Alright.Well, shit. Weird reunion because a) Orlaith spoke as if the court meant absolutely nothing to her. Also as if Bridget meant nothing. Which... fair. Memory loss. but still weird as shit. B) Izumi was with them, which meant if Bridget wanted her along, she'd have to snag her from here. Not likely under a pack's nose, and not if she'd already chosen this place. Yeah, everyone just kind of left. Real weird.Bridget said with a light sigh. Not much she could have done to prevent it, but it was a bummer. She'd liked the new court a good deal better than the old, all things considered, though now she'd get to see a few places. So she could pick out that silver lining and give it a nice focus for now. RE: All I need is a head full of hope - Orlaith - December 04, 2020 Generally as she didn't remember, Orlaith was not directly hit by the lightning. While at the time talking to Ira and waiting for Finley, but chance did it strike nearby, and the waves not only electrocuted her, but the Count. It seemingly tied fates together as now Orlaith was part of Kaistleoki, and unknowingly so, even more fairies were being drawn toward it.
"Nothin' happened? There's like an enemy as far as i'm aware, the Saints, or something? Thought they would stirr up trouble since they used to be near." While she was gloating over the factor they did disband, it was strange they all dispersed. She would assume maybe the enemy did something, but was it really just.. Something as lame as that? "Well what's your plans?" RE: All I need is a head full of hope - Bridget - December 06, 2020 Nah, there was something about a war, but the cowards never delivered.Bridget scoffed a bit, then shook her head. Really does blow. New court was way better than the old one. If Izumi's here guess that's that.Bridget shrugged. Not sure on mine. Gave two other friends I'm runnin with, plan to stick with them.Sure she might be a bit of an awkward third wheel, but Teya was a good friend and Sundance was a good guy. If a little serious. She could sense the implication, but wasn't biting. In the end, if Orlaith offered, Bridget refused to stay. Who knew if they parted amicably or not, but she doubted she'd see the faerie much again. Especially since she had no shared recollection anymore. |
