This point - Vanity - November 30, 2020 And so, they made their way home again.
Vanity clutching the skull betwixt her jaws. The coastal air blasting them with sand and salty air. How welcoming. She paused at the border, not to call for permission or any of that shit. Umbra was lucky they came back at all. No, Vanity placed the skull down, and a paw atop it. Giving herself a break. "Nice walk, eh?" She looked to O'Malley. She wondered what he thought of the expedition. RE: This point - RIP Umbra - November 30, 2020 They were gone for some time, and Umbra started to wonder if they left. She wasn't much to hunt down stranglers, but she was definitely a wolf who would not allow returns nor' alliances with such unloyalties given. There was some suspicions held, especially as she wasn't specifically told where the two were going..
And upon her patrol, when the Sealord came across Vanity with a skull, it rose some brows, "You are back." RE: This point - O’Mally - December 01, 2020 O’Mally had been faithfully behind the skull masked woman. His fur the purest of whites as usual and he doesn’t seem to be at all worried about the skull Vanity carries in her maw. By then he would know the situation, assuming she told him on the way back. Still, he wouldn’t speak of it unless specifically asked. Though as they finally make they’re way back to the coast, he missed the stench of the sea air. It’s not really a good one, but it is a familiar one. So as a figure comes towards them his baby blues flick over to none other than Umbra — their now Alpha. As she speaks to Vanity, he nods and decides to speak as well. “Yes, God guided our journey back to our coast. It was quick and easy.” RE: This point - Tahoe - December 01, 2020 Cameo! Please feel free to skip me
It was a cold day, similar to any other. Out of boredom did he follow Umbra’s scent. As he went along, his nose picked up more scents; returning packmembers. Tahoe had not seen or found traces of the departing pair for a short while. He paid no special interest to the fact, it was not his job to micromanage anybody. As long as they came back and pulled their weight, so be it. In the near distance, he saw their small silhouettes converge—Umbra was already speaking with them. Additionally, it appeared Vanity didn’t come back empty-handed, but he couldn’t decipher what it was that she brought. With ears perked, he stood—a statue—and observed the encounter from afar. Fragments of conversation were audible from here. If the subject was of no interest to him, he’d leave them to it. RE: This point - Kore - December 01, 2020 Up until now, Kore had been set to travel alone after the failed trafficking killed her battlemates. It wasn't much of a problem in her eyes since it wouldn't be the first time the amazon was forced to find her own way in life, though it seems that this independence kept Kore from actually meeting her clanmates.
So, the sea maiden followed Umbra's scent trail to the presence of others: Vanity, O'Mally and Tahoe (though, more distanced from the others). The skulled femme and wraith male in particiclar had been absent from some time. Upon arrival, her head would cock to the side in curiosity when marble eyes locked on the skull this woman held in her mouth -- a trophy of some sorts? Well then, that just took Kore down nostalgia road. Staring in awe at all the "Trophies" she and other warriors of the court collected in battle -- the scent of seasalt and blood was the smell of victory to those who've defended Poseiden's claim with a sense of empowerment. 'Would thses wolves share similar sense of pride defending this clan?' Kore briefly thought before quietly approaching her clanmates. If so, then maybe things wouldn't feel so different from home afterall... RE: This point - Vanity - December 02, 2020 She didn't realise their return was awaited.
That Umbra had been watching for them. She blinked as one...two...three. They showed up like they were defending the border. She glanced to O'Malley. God, yeah. "Of course we are," she smiled softly. "Once I knew I had a stable place to stay, I went to pick up this one." She tapped a paw atop the skull, looking off at Tahoe in the distance before back to Umbra and Kore. In a fledging claim, surely it was expected that members would wander. But she was here to stay now. And O'Malley likely was too, though she couldn't speak for him. She stretched out, tail waving softly. She was unbothered on the outside, though inside she could help but think that Umbra was...anxious. Uncertain. "A one-time personal venture," she smirked. She didn't need to go out again. Her children were likely dead and gone. RE: This point - RIP Umbra - December 09, 2020 Perhaps there was a bit of anxiety. Rather stone-cold in face, even as the vixen smiled and tapped on the skull, her stormy eyes locked onto it's cracked form. It was no prey, but a wolf left for dead ages ago, "Someone from your past?" And curiosity could not be hid, as they left for a while, and the mission seemed to be but a skull. It was not fresh.. A buried adult.
Umbra hummed slightly, a brow raised. She also gave a glance to those who entered, a slight nod to Tahoe and Kore- as how she would like it. As the amazonian thought, she would enjoy the mindset of all coming out as a mindset, a defend the borders. Though it was only an ally they greeted, not an enemy. |
