new friends - Vega - December 01, 2020
Ever since she was a little girl, Vega had been watching from the shadows. She was elusive even to those of her own pack, with the exception of her parents. But as she grew older her perspective had begun to change and now, as an adult, she had a different set of goals. Surely, her silence could be useful, but watching Osiris’ success drove a fire in her. They had two territories now, which came with its own benefits and drawbacks. Pondering this, she seeks out the trail of a packmate, hoping to have a discussion that would draw her from her shell.

Perhaps Mira was not the conversational companion her sister seeked, but there she was upon the trail. She was chasing a little field mouse for sport when she darted across Vega's path, but paused, letting her prey escape while she looked at the girl who resembled her father.

She had always been jealous of her younger siblings, and especially of those who were dark like the majority of the family seemed to be. When Mira crossed her path, now older than Vega remembered her being, the movement slowly bled out of her until she was standing a pace or two away.
