And I've always been a daughter - Fennec - December 05, 2020 RO for kit <3 lmk if any assumptions are wrong
Fennec was both flattered and immensely mortified when @Hydra and @Leta showed up to check on her. With @Towhee there, the Moonspear alpha kept her distracted with descriptions of places she'd been and seen. Leta meanwhile caught her up on some of what happened in the Glen, and for once, Fennec didn't interrupt to share how boring it was. She just listened. In the end, remembering how interested the girl had been in her den, Fennec would up offering it to her. It wasn't like she'd be able to go back anytime soon, and besides, it was worthless with no one to share it with. And @Bronco wouldn't use it, which meant Meerkat wouldn't either. That den marked the first real thoughtful thing she'd ever, in her life, done for another wolf. Even if it had backfired horrendously, it felt better knowing that someone would be using it. That it wouldn't just be sitting there empty. She hadn't liked company coming and hanging out when she was like this, and she was glad others seemed keen on keeping their distance. That's what she'd wanted, yeah? Penn's leaving had been the death of their friendship. Of course she'd known this would be the death of theirs. Sitting with nothing to do gave her far too much time too think, and far too much of that thinking was about him, and her, and how little clue she had about what she actually fucking wanted in life. Her dream had turned out to be a shitty one in the end but at least she'd found some parts of it she loved wholeheartedly. Fennec would chew on that for a while, between fragmented naps and times when it hurt too much to think at all. Now she knew she wanted both pack and practice, and somehow, she had to find a way to have them. The rest of it she could figure out as it came, because right now, she wasn't sure it ever would. |
