I'll take it - Derg - December 05, 2020 I demand an audience with @Nyra. Pretty please
Derg strode after the pale woman.
He's glimpsed her. It wasn't that fucking Sasha, for sure, and she was a larger, hulking mass than Kynareths new pet. He didn't know if she'd been made aware of the decision he and the brindle male had made, but he'd tell her now. And make sure she was fit for the job. A spar. And some questions about her next steps. Perhaps he'd give her a job. Or invite her along to that Kingslend. He wanted to visit them. RE: I'll take it - RIP Fury - December 05, 2020 I gotchu
As of the moment, Nyra was patrolling. Just doing the rounds, marking the borders and the unofficial claims. A familiar scent. Derg. Pricking her ears up, she slowed her steps to fall still and await her Overseer. Was something wrong? RE: I'll take it - Derg - December 06, 2020 Soon enough, she realised she was being trailed.
Derg smirked to himself, spotting her turned; waiting for him. He stopped alongside her with a friendly shoulder bump. Well, as much as a shoulder bump could be with their size difference. "Would you spar with me? I'd like to see how you fight uninjured." She'd pro bably kick his ass. But, the outcome may be surprising. RE: I'll take it - RIP Fury - December 06, 2020 Soon enough, he was at her side. A spar? "Why not?" She chuckled softly, pacing forward a bit to turn and face him head-on with a readied stance. Let's see how it plays out this time RE: I'll take it - Derg - December 06, 2020 She agreed.
Good. He grinned, stopping as she strode before him, readying herself. He lunged first, driving to either clasp his teeth around her muzzle or to lock jaws with her. This will be fun. RE: I'll take it - RIP Fury - December 06, 2020 As he lunged, she opened her jaws at the ready. Instead of parrying him away though, they locked jaws. Grunting with the force, Nyra tried to flip her Overseer, but no such luck. He seemed to be firmly planted, plus her jaw still smarter every now and again from sparring with Kynareth and getting thwacked in the face with his foot RE: I'll take it - Derg - December 06, 2020 Their jaws locked. The pair battled for dominance, for the upper hand.
Twisting this way and that. She shoved, trying to flip him. But stocky little Derg's centre of gravity was more sturdy than Kynareths, and so her attempt was futile. His dislodged his jaws, attempting to drive his head towards her neck, but she evaded his attack with a swift jerk to the side. RE: I'll take it - RIP Fury - December 06, 2020 Swiftly jerking, she came back with fire, grabbing Derg by the scruff and using her mass to more or less make him stumble backward aggressively as she half threw/half shoved him away. Not like Sasuke Uchiha with Kakashi and the bells, no ma'am. Space was required here. RE: I'll take it - Derg - December 07, 2020 Her might overwhelmed him as he was flung away from her, taking a couple of steps to regain himself. She was strong, for sure, and moves like that put her height as an advantage.
He stalked a few steps to the side, and expecting her to follow with her teeth in place of a target, he calculated his next move. Derg lunged forward, teeth driving low to snatch at her ankle. Her flesh was caught between his teeth, and he held on tight, thrashing his body side to side to make it harder for her to snatch up his scruff. RE: I'll take it - RIP Fury - December 07, 2020 Harder? Only by a lot. As he went for her ankle and bit her on it, she aimed to roll herself over in a somersault to make him fly again, but instead just messily slapped her chin and her sternum into the ground with a pained yip. Today was just not her day. RE: I'll take it - Derg - December 07, 2020 Nyra...was ambitious.
That's how he'd describe her, with that same pause, if he was asked. She thought she could do all the things, but in reality jer frame only let her do most of the things. And flipping herself and him over wasn't one of them. She landed on her belly, obviously hurt already. He released her with a soft chuckle - he couldn't help it - before rounding on her again. He drove for her rear legs, looking to catch a foot and drag her or something, but her thrashing to prevent him touching her worked well enough. He couldn't get a clear shot, and ended up snapping empty air a few times. RE: I'll take it - RIP Fury - December 07, 2020 A messy tango this is, it only gets messier as Nyra aims her teeth at the Overseer's wrist area, trying to get him to trip and fall. But due to her own thrashing and his own jaws clicking closed on air, she missed. Horribly. Grumbling with irritation, she stood and awaited Derg's next attack. RE: I'll take it - Derg - December 13, 2020 They went for each other's legs.
With a spectacular fail on both parts. She drove for a foreleg, but he could dance away as she missed anyway. His ears slicked back, keeping himself streamlined. Less things to grab on to. He drove for Nyra, aiming to latch teeth into her thick ruff hanging about her neck. He slipped, falling short, and he had to save himself from face planting the earth. RE: I'll take it - RIP Fury - December 15, 2020 As her Overseer stumbled, she took the chance to mirror his attempt, miraculously((if he didn't dodge her first)) seeking and claiming purchase on his own scruff, shaking at his fur a few times. But, if he moved out of the way, she would land jaw-first on the ground RE: I'll take it - Derg - December 24, 2020 As he fell, he was saved from eating dirt.
Well, kind of. Nyra's teeth at his throat wasn't really much of a saving grace but that was the situation. He was thrown up, pain lancing his neck and he rose up to lessen her grip. His hind legs took his weight as he struck out with his forepaws to hit her face, hoping to dislodge her long enough for him to be freed. RE: I'll take it - RIP Fury - December 24, 2020 Paws to the cheeks didn't feel too great. Good thing this was a spar. Letting go, Nyra aimed to grab his shoulders in her own paws in an effort to force him to the ground. RE: I'll take it - Derg - January 12, 2021 There, he gave up.
This wasn't for anything apart from getting better. And he would gladly just let himself go down if it meant they could train. He fought back a bit, making her work for it a bit at least. He grinned with a last playful snap towards her, but ultimately lay still. He tiled his head to her, "Good work." They should probably get back to work. RE: I'll take it - RIP Fury - January 12, 2021 can archive here if wanted? :>
As the white behemoth nipped at his last playful snap after bowling him over, Nyra laughed lightly and stepped away, so he could rise "Thank you." she responded, giving him a firm nod before going off to continue patrols, unless stopped. RE: I'll take it - Derg - January 13, 2021 He gave the pale knight a nod and a smile.
Acknowledging her thanks. It was all part of their life as Saints. Part of their blood. Their bond as a pack. He stood, and as she moved off to patrol the northern border, he took towards the ravine. There were all sorts of things dwelling there that needed an eye kept on them. |
