The sun rises thusly - Talise - December 06, 2020 It had been a long journey, she wasn't even sure she could rest yet. The ground was glazed in a veneer of frost, and the air was bitter. But she was closer. Talise had followed her sister far from Apache Creek, and the glimmer of hope to see her again hadn't abandoned her. She was so close. She could smell it. Her love and loyalty to her family had never waned, and that included Speedy. She was excited. She couldn't wait. She just hoped Speedy would be as happy to see her too. Talise wanted a new home at Kaistleoki, with her sister, if she would be accepted. She howled, announcing her presence. She hoped she'd be accepted. RE: The sun rises thusly - Hieronymous - December 06, 2020 Boy, the borders sure are busy lately. From all the visitors, newcomers and everything in between (keeping his wounds vague due to the trespasser thread still being very fresh), the howl summoned the healing Constable to come and join them for a greeting. Shallow wounds never slowed him down any, and with thanks to the pack joining him in chasing out their fish-napper, he got away with that encounter with very minor injuries (i will change this later if necessary lmfao note to myself here). Had he knows Speedy's siblings were arriving, he probably would of lept right out of his skin he'd be so excited, instead, he was as warm and friendly as with anyone upon his first greeting. He would have simply been exploding with excitement had he known who it was he was approaching. Hello! He called out first from a distance, trying to grab her attention before he simply walked up to her. Closing the distance between himself and the new face, he offered the usual dramatic bow, smile and melodic tune in his voice. You've reached Kaistleoki, I am the Constable here, Hieronymous. How may I help you? RE: The sun rises thusly - Talise - December 07, 2020 The male looked right like he'd been painted, an abstract blend. When he bowed Talise had to smile. "Hello, I am Talise, I was hoping to join Kaistleoki?" She was a little hyper, this male was from Kaistleoki... She was so close! She decided she liked Hieronymous, he had a way about him. He seemed pleasant. She tried to think for a second but her excitement got the better of her and she blurted out: "Does Speedy reside here? She's my sister." RE: The sun rises thusly - Hieronymous - December 07, 2020 Another one who planned on joining their ranks! He was pleased to see Kasitleoki alive with new life once again, so many new faces for the older members to meet and greet! And they were all very friendly too. The Constable could feel her excitement and it was contagious. We would be happy to have you Talise. Do you know anything about Kaistleoki? She knew of their name, so it was possible that she heard of them from someone beyond their borders. It was exciting to think that maybe they were getting a good reputation somewhere out there in the wilds. And then she mentions Speedy, and that she was her sister! His eyes widened at the thought of having the Chamberlain's sister among them, how worried she has been about Emrik - and though this would not replace her husband in any way, perhaps this would help ease her worries just a little bit. She does! She is a part of our Council as I am actually, our Chamberlain. I'm certain she will be oh so very pleased to see you!He bounced on the spot, so happy to see Speedy beaming with a smile - at least, he assumed she was on good terms with her family. RE: The sun rises thusly - Talise - December 07, 2020 "I know very little," Talise admitted, "but I can learn, and am eager to serve." And then he confirmed her hopes: Speedy was there. She made a little jump with glee, she may finally see her sister again! Speedy was on the Council too, she knew her sister would've worked hard to earn her rank as Chamberlain. She felt proud of her sister for making a life for herself. Oh she hoped she'd be happy to see her. The wind blew briskly through her fur, but she didn't even shiver, distracted by thoughts of Kaistleoki and Speedy. Her emotions were bubbling inside her. Speedy. She was close to Speedy RE: The sun rises thusly - Hieronymous - December 07, 2020 I'm sure you will be!If she was anything like @Speedy, she would be anything but impressive. He didn't want to burden her with that comparison, just because they were sisters it didn't mean they were the same individuals. If she happened to be completely different than Speedy in form of work habit, that was fine too of course! So long as she was willing to improve as Kaistleoki strived for their members. Come, lets see if we can find her. We can talk along the way.Who was he to delay a family reunion? Talise wanted to join and she was eager to please, that alone was good enough for him to accept the young woman among their ranks. Do you mind telling me a little more about yourself? Kaistleoki is all about self-improvement, so what are you currently good at? What do you hope to improve? Do you have any questions about us? She was also excited to see her sister again, maybe he can have her focus just long enough to let him learn more about the woman as they looked for the Chamberlain. Speedy can come in at any time if Hela wants to bust in! No pressure tho if you're busy! <3
RE: The sun rises thusly - Talise - December 07, 2020 Talise's ears were twitching in excitement as she walked, she couldn't help it. "Sure! My mother was a healer and taught me and my other siblings. I wish to further my knowledge of healing and follow in her footsteps" she explained, "I hope to be of use as I improve." She hoped all Kaistleoki wolves would be just as welcoming as the Constable. She could be sweet but grew up with a family of warmth and kindness, she was wary of conflict. Maybe Kaistleoki would be a safe place for her to grow, and she'd have Speedy! Ooh her excitement continued... RE: The sun rises thusly - Speedy - December 07, 2020 Work kept Speedy's mind occupied and thankfully between her responsibilities to the pack and her now having to care for the children on her own, she had plenty to keep her busy. Today, she had gathered some of the last marigolds she found before winter and was carrying them between her teeth as she made her way back to the herb den. She had heard the call from the borders but thought not much of it. There were plenty within the pack meant to handle newcomers and intruders; if they needed her specifically, they would call. But she happened upon the Constable and a woman she had never met before. Honestly, she looked like she could belong to her own family, but it was just a passing thought as she made to join them wherever they were going. She set the plants down under a tree to retrieve later and trotted over to her friend and the unknown woman. Hey Hieronymous, she said warmly. Then she looked at the stranger and offered a friendly smile, not worried about her being within the territory since Hieronymous had clearly escorted her here. I'm Speedy, Kaistleoki's Chamberlain and healer, she said. You must be new. RE: The sun rises thusly - Talise - December 08, 2020 Talise stopped breathing for a second as if the stillness would help to comprehend the words out of this wolf's mouth. Speedy. It was Speedy. At long last it was Speedy. "I'm Talise! Oh my goodness it is an honour to meet you, I am also Wynona and Uzumati's child! I am your sister!" she couldn't believe it, she had never met Speedy but had been told tales of her from her mother. She knew she was a gifted healer and wasn't surprised that Speedy was a healer of Kaistleoki. Talise hoped she'd be well received RE: The sun rises thusly - Hieronymous - December 08, 2020 Speak of the healer and here she appeared (never would he call Speedy "the devil" even if it was the way the saying went)! The two women were quick to introduce themselves, it seemed Speedy wasn't aware that she had family lurking around, which he wondered how she would react to such news? Was this any good? Uh oh, his heart thudded, now uncertain if Speedy would be indifferent to the family she was just meeting for what seemed like the first time. His smile fell just mildly, patiently waiting for what he hoped would be a good reaction from the Chamberlain. You two already introduced yourselves haha! I found Talise at our borders, she wishes to join us. I think with you as her teacher? He wasn't sure really, Talise was just all too excited since the moment they spoke. What do you think? RE: The sun rises thusly - Speedy - December 20, 2020 Emrik had told her of the name and of her sister, but she never anticipated that any more of her family would show up here. So for a few moments, she just stared at her little sister, her eyes blinking a few times before a large grin spread across her face As the constable spoke, the healer nodded. Of course. I imagine our mother taught you a few things already, but I would love to take you on as my apprentice. She walked over to the other woman, her gaze roaming over her to take her in fully. Then if allowed, she would offer a gentle touch of her nose to her cheek and then drape her head around her sister's neck to embrace her. With Emrik missing, it was nice to have family here to help her with the children and soothe her sadness some. I'm glad you're here, she murmured. RE: The sun rises thusly - Hieronymous - December 22, 2020 Sorry for the skip! I'm just writing Hiero out <3
The two had much catching up to do. Speedy had accepted the offer to take on her sister and train her in the art of medicine, hopefully by having another family member around it would help to take her mind off of the missing Emrik, even if to alleviate the sting just by a little bit. With a smile, I'll take my leave now, you two have a lot to talk about. It was nice meeting you Talise.not wanting to derail their meeting by the slightest, he offered a curt bow to them both and departed to leave them to their own introductions. |
