the belasco house in maine - Mithas - December 13, 2020 It had been drizzling rain for most of the morning. Lucky it wasn't cold enough for snow quite yet, Mithas thought. He repressed a grimace. As the rain broke up the overcast sky transfigured his surroundings; the past two hours had felt like an interminable wait upon an empty corridor of frost-bitten prairie. Mithas drew a breath and looked around with the affectation of an old man with a watch on a chain. He peered at the muted grays overhead as if they held the answers he sought. Wincing when a fat drop of rain hit his nose - and another smacked his forehead - he began to move on again. The last time he had ventured this far north it had been in pursuit of his family. There was no sign of them now. He could not tell if he was better off this way or not. Mithas certainly did not miss the other Melonii; he had hoped to make his mark the last time he had come through this region and fallen short instead. That had nothing to do with his family - or maybe it had everything to do with them. Indecision hounded him as he made his way. He shook out his shoulders and banished those thoughts immediately. RE: the belasco house in maine - Rowan - December 13, 2020 Rowan ventured in a different direction today.
He'd chosen a rather dull day to do so. Water caked his fur into thick clumps, and more ran down his sodden sides. But there were more wolves wandering around. This one caught his eye. Looking to the sky with a calmness about him, it seemed. Well, to Rowan at least. Ivory Rose needed more members, and something about this man drew Rowan closer. Rowan glanced to the sky too. The grey was only greyer than the last time he looked. "What do you search for?" He didn't seem lost, as such, it seems he was looking for something. He just didn't know where. His tail waved in a friendly, neutral position, whilst a curious look held his gaze. |
