that 70's show - Renwick - December 16, 2020

come get high with ren or just... laugh at him
for naturalist trade

Unable to keep to the coast for long, Ren had a desire to wander. He happened upon this cache by pure accident. If he was a human, he would be sweating. If he had hands, he'd dig his nails into the sides of his shoulders. He looked anguished. Disgusted. Fearful. All rolled into one.

He thought he had a handle on this shit.

Sapphire eyes strayed to the bountiful items. Mushrooms. Though some would kill you on the spot, he knew these types. He didn't think they grew here but that shows how inexperienced he was. He took a few steps toward them, ignoring the herbs that probably were more useful to Yuelong.

He didn't give a shit what type they were in the end. It was the rush they gave him. A few times he'd gotten close to overdosing, and luck had him either throw up the contents of his stomach, rejecting or... well, being revived by a passing wolf. Lowering his head, he sniffed deeply.

Like a junkie about to find their current ticket to nirvana.

RE: that 70's show - Kiwi RIP - December 19, 2020

laugh at him you say...

She roamed the coast and taiga with the energy of a wolf who should, by any rights, be doing much more constructive things.  She was meant for better things, she knew this, but fuck if anyone else could be bothered with it.  Her concept needed work anyway, but wandering without a purpose was growing old.

Besides, every wolf she ran into was affiliated.

Like this one, who was... staring at mushrooms.  Kiwi paused in her motion and in turn stared at him, skepticism turning into straight up judgement.  What are you doing?

RE: that 70's show - Renwick - December 20, 2020

He jumped.

He couldn't help it, this chick came outta nowhere. The yearling turned in a flash, his blue-black fur bristling. His eyes were wary and somehow guilty at the same time. Did she know what he was going to do? No, she had asked didn't she? That meant he could think of any lie he wanted.

"Just wonderin' if these are poisonous" he lied instinctively "buddin' healer and all that. Don't rightly know if they're good for my pack." Way to go, dragging Yuelong into this shit. His chest heaved once more before it lay still. He calmed down. Fuck, where did she come from?

Kiwi stared.  He was a jumpy thing, wasn't he?  Her look grew a little colder, more haughty.  It was always a toss up, when she met a new wolf, what side they would see.  But lately, as she began to suspect each wolf she crossed, more and more, had nothing to give her... mean won out.

Seems the only proper thing would be to find out yourself.  That way, if they are, your pack only loses you.  She answered, glancing at the mushrooms with little interest.  She had no real interest in healing.  If she ever needed one, she'd either find one or she'd deserve the death she got.  Can't be much of one, a healer who can't even tell the difference between medicine and poison.  More liability than asset.

He bit down on his tongue, resisting to throw shade at the bitch. "Yeah" he utters - maybe if he was nice she'd get tired of him and leave him be. "that's why I said budding healer" ya absolute bitch "and why I'mma try to identify them before bringing them to my pack."

She wasn't as smart as she thought she was. He could have a mentor. He could pluck them and give them to a wiser wolf to tell him. He could do many things. All he fucking wanted to do was eat them. Experience euphoria again. Or was it nirvana? Maybe both. Who the hell knew?

Probably someone smarter and wiser than him, that's for sure. He turns away from her, eyes focused intently on the shrooms he knew could give him that high. He felt itchy being in their presence again.

Sure.

So go ahead.. Kiwi's lips curled up into a smile and she sat down slowly, delicately, like an instructor watching a pupil and judging their every thought.  She had no clue what the mushrooms were, and no investment in this, but she relished that she might make him uncomfortable.

And staring like this? It tended to do the trick.  Especially in wolves as jumpy as this one.  She had nowhere to be, nothing to do, and a whole lot of patience when it came to tormenting.  She'd sit there gladly, hoping he ate them, so maybe she could watch what happened next.
