Do you remember your first party? - Conquest - December 22, 2020 In the search for more power, to gain strength and abilities in order to take down the two bitches who ran her through the muck earlier - Conquest departed from Moonspear for just a week or so. To see more of the lands surrounding the mountains. From this lake, she would return and then branch out again after resting at Hydra's home for a while and learning from the Moonspear wolves. This would be her routine for a while. The need to stretch her legs and roam was strong, the mountain was no home for her, not yet, but soon it should be once she felt comfortable in her abilities to do her new guardian proud. For now, the sound of a waterfall was a blissful song as the cool waters quenched her thirst as the fiery girl leaned over the lake's water to lap up and prepare for her journey back. RE: Do you remember your first party? - Godbrand - December 22, 2020 There was a girl here. He had tried to stop for a small break before continuing his journey, but felt a bit uneasy around new faces. It had been so long since he ran into this many wolves in quick succession. What part of this place would he find to be his? Would he even find anything? Godbrand quietly walked up to the lake, dipping his head and drinking deeply. He wondered where this one's parents were, guardian or biological. Yet it was also not his business. The man was silent, picking up a very faint scent of community. She did not talk to him at his approach - so he remained quiet. RE: Do you remember your first party? - Conquest - December 22, 2020 Someone came by. It sent her guard hairs to stand upon her pelt, straight and furious at the stranger coming near... as he dipped to take a drink she only calmed a little, stopping her own flickering tongue to stare at him with wide, almost disdainful eyes... scrutinizing him and how bold he was to approach even for something so innocent. Lifting her head from the water, she took a sniff at the air... catching his scent but nothing else, no indications of others with whom he belonged to. He was like her a month ago... alone, wandering, unsure of one's own future and what it held. But still, she glared... that perpetual hate for anyone who wasn't familiar to her burned in her chest and forced a growl. RE: Do you remember your first party? - Godbrand - December 22, 2020 He only looked up when she growled at him. Amber eyes focused on the girl, a calm brow lifting in question. The man could not hope to guess the state of her mind, yet he also did not retaliate to the brazen display. Fighting with children never sat well with him. So, to avoid further aggression, he moved backward. Godbrand's stance was quiet defiance, but deferring to her apparent need for space. If she didn't want him near, he would leave. Gladly. He also remained quiet, aware that anything could set another off. RE: Do you remember your first party? - Conquest - December 22, 2020 Unfortunately for him, she was horribly lacking in the whole social knowledge. The way he backed away from her had only fueled the young woman's hunger for violence, casting him in a similar light to fearful prey instead of being man trying to diffuse the situation. With a vicious snarl ripping through her face, the glimmer ivory fangs glistening in the dying daylight. Even as he kept calm, she lunged forward with every intent of piercing his skin with her fangs. Hungrily snapping. Should he run, she would not follow - but if he remained, a challenge would be issued and a fight out begin. RE: Do you remember your first party? - Godbrand - December 22, 2020 He did not expect to roll out of bed this morning and fight a child. Godbrand knew better than to try again; she went for him and he would retaliate as needed to defend himself. Though larger than her because of her age, he could depend on his weight to not be knocked back. The knight met the girl in the field of battle. He shoved his chest against her coming fangs, his neck fur thick enough to soften her bite. There was still some pain attributed to it, but he did not so much as grunt. Was she feral? He found he did not care. Those that harmed innocent beings - even himself - were subjected to a lesson. Hoping that his shove would stun her, Godbrand lifted both his front legs and brought them down on either side of her head. He sought to use his weight to pin her. RE: Do you remember your first party? - Conquest - December 22, 2020 She was no small thing either. Even if he did have weight on her for now due to her younger age and still developing muscles, she didn't think it would be that much of a difference between them other than possible knowledge through previous practices. His defensive maneuver didn't stun her all that much, briefly maybe, but she hungrily still bit and chewed at anything. He didn't flee, and so a fight it was! Growling and slobbering in rage, she wanted to win this time and would give anything to be victorious this time. The man's legs came down on her, almost pinning her in the moment. Her front lowered closer to the ground but she was defiant under his weight. Twisting her head, she tried to grab hold of his elbow now. Should she manage to get that in her grasp, the young woman would keep her teeth into it; tug and pull, twist and shake to get him to fall over this time with one less leg to hold him up. RE: Do you remember your first party? - Godbrand - December 22, 2020 He knew pretty fast if he didn't stop treating her like the child she was that this would go south fast. It pained him to actually hurt the girl but if he wanted to not lick his wounds, he'd have to do better. Godbrand managed to pin her before she shot out like a snake. She gripped his elbow, but he bent his neck and grabbed the back of her neck. The man did not shake and tear like she did; he firmly held her there and tried to once more force her to the ground. He felt his injured leg buckle under his own weight, but refused to give in. Submit! he wanted to yell at her, but his mouth was full of her fur. Though he tried not to bite too deep, he knew the only way for her to know he was serious was to draw blood. RE: Do you remember your first party? - Conquest - December 26, 2020 Once again, she was bested - and such a situation was really starting to test her patience. Grinding her teeth as he pushed her down into the dirt, she stopped her assault, knowing very well she was outdone by this one. She would have her retribution one day, and someday, she would never be beaten like this again, and again, and again just as it had been recently. She waited for him to leave, letting his weight stop her for now. She would not cast a glance in his direction either, only leave without a word. RE: Do you remember your first party? - Godbrand - December 26, 2020 He didn't feel good about his victory at all. It left a taste like bile in his mouth. Letting her go was the only thing he did right about this. Bran could feel the unspeakable hatred rolling off the feral being. Did she do this before? Was she bested before? It didn't matter in the end. She slinks off defeated and he is able to breathe again. Returning to his drink, he wastes her fur out of his mouth and continues on his own way. Such is life when you need to be distracted by the reality of it. / end |
