when all of your flaws are counted - Galileo - September 09, 2014

we've been avoiding this long enough.. @Bazi
powerplayed he found ya c:

There was a certain veil of tension covering the path that led to Bazi, he had been tracking her since he had left the meadow, the questions to be asked whirling around his head as he trotted closer. Then, as small mountain of pure white appeared in the distance, the peppered male lightened his pace.

Despite keeping a calm face and a relaxed demeanour, inside Galileo was fearing that the little white Alpha had fallen into the same rotten road the previous Alpha had follwed. When he was at a considerable distance he barked to get the girl's attention, while he was forever grateful to her for giving him a place in the Creek she had asked for him to be her Counselor --and though thick and thin she would be forced to listen to his advice. "Bazi, we need to speak"he stated with a pressing tone. He just wanted to make sure they'd stop playing hide-and-seek and get to the point before any other harm was done.

I like the 'let's get straight to it' approach, too. >:)

"Bazi, we need to speak."

Don't I know it. Bazi turned to face her Counselor, whose advice she had not sought and whose position she had undermined in the process. The girl's ears drooped at the thought of her rather extreme failings. "We do.." she murmured, struggling to maintain eye contact. Scimitar - and Kaskara, to a lesser extent - had already told her off for her mistakes, but Galileo.. she had made him an advisor, and never asked him to advise! Then again - seconds had passed between Danica's confession and Bazi's demand that she leave. There hadn't been much time to seek advice.

"I know what I did," Bazi was quick to say. "I know it was terrible."

His deep amber eyes lingered on her face until she approached, dragging her spirit like a scolded pup. He was not there to scold her, that was not his job nor his responsability. He was a father but not hers. As she stepped forth to meet him half way the gentle giant flickered the tip of his tail slowly as if to try to calm her.

"But I don't.." he barked, letting her know that he had not yet heard the full story of the events. Until now all he knew was that Shadow was out and about forming his own palace with his own followers --he didn't know that he had been thrown out. "Let me hear how terrible it is.."he prodded wanting to hear it from her mouth rather than from other tongues.

"I've heard some things but I don't like gossip", he added, thinking about the senior male he had met by the meadow.

Yo! I'm wrapping up all of Bazi's thread to start afresh, but I can blitz to 10 if need be. :)

Bazi breathed a great big sigh. There was gossip now? Fantastic. "She told me that she liked me, I.. maybe didn't handle the situation very well and told her to stay with Tuwawi and Njal." She said this with her eyes on Galileo's paws, but glanced defiantly up at his face when she had finished. The full stop punctured the air like a stiff breeze cut through fur - strong and determined.

it's alright babe we can quick post :3

Her words confirmed what Adair had told him by the meadow, their fall out had been fired by Danica's feelings which had not settled well in the pale Alphess' mind.

His eyes darkened with a mixture of impotence and disappointment, her error wasn't that she did not believe in same-gender relationships, but judging a long time friend and valuable comrade because of their beliefs. Her flaw had not been to feel disgusted by Danica's confession it had been punishing her for her honesty.

Though he would've liked to tell her that she could've reached out to him before making up such rash decisions, he didn't. As she lifted her chin to meet his eyes defiantly, he simply blinked in sibmission and breathed out slowly.

"You're right. You didn't handle it well, but I'm not here to lecture you" he barked gruffly. His admiration for her had fallen down a notch; though his loyalty still was unwavering. "About, Shadow --he's better off out of here" he barked with a brief shake of his head. Insolence and defiance was not acceptable from a subordinate.

Galileo's reply was gruff, but he didn't lay into Bazi about her behaviour. It was done now, and the weight of it already cut into the girl's shoulders. She thought about Danica daily, and the regret was piling high.

"I didn't trust him," she agreed, considering her paws again. "I don't think anyone disagrees.. but I should have told you." The idea of a protracted process didn't appeal, but she couldn't have everything her way.

Her face, though gloomy, irradiated genuine regret.
Though sending Danica out had not been her only flaw, the peppered male decided to leave it at that, he was in no mood or position to reprimand the young Alpha. He had done worse mistakes back in the day, leaving his son behind being the greatest one.

"I thought I did. He fooled us all -- he was not a pompous little rebel he is when I first met him" he barked, shaking his head slightly out of amazement. The Shadow he had met by the Otter Creek was not the one that leaded a pack on another land now. He had changed drastically, as if a switch had been turned in his mind.

Bazi nodded pensively, but her thoughts were not on Shadow. Two golden faces hovered in front of her eyes instead - one lured east by love (or what she perceived to be love), the other banished by the Alpha's own paw. Her two favourite girls. What a mess.

"He won't trouble the Creek," Bazi ventured, blue eyes wandering back to Galileo's mahogany ones. "Paarthurnax went with him.. she wouldn't let him do anything." And if he did, perhaps the Samarkand wolf would come back to her. Bazi could only hope. But where Danica concerned.. perhaps she could do more. The Arctic girl righted herself. "I need to see Tuwawi," she declared.

last post? we need a new one mmmhmm <3

The man's eyes embraced the frigidness of her own icy blue eyes. She was a young leader, and though there was no guarantee she wouldn't ever make a mistake again, the expirience would at least (hopefully) teach her not to do the same ones.

Galileo was not asking for her to be perfect -- no one in the Creek was. (If that was what Shadow had expected from her then he was better off out in the curb; as if he were a saint!) The peppered elder wasn't one either, nor he aspired to be one. He knew that it were his flaws what had made him what he was.

He locked eyes with her as she declared she needed to visit the fireborn Sveijarn. A small smile crept upon his face as she did so -- that was what he wanted. That she stopped dwelling over her errors. Tears wouldn't help her redeem herself - but actions would.

"And I won't stop you, Bazi" he barked softly, "Just remember we need you to be here for us too", he added gently. Little did he know that she would follow her impulse sooner than expected, and that it would take even longer for her to return.

Concluding post, FINALLY!

"Just remember we need you to be here for us too."

Bazi answered with a firm nod, blissfully unaware of what was about to happen. Of course she could come back. She would run to Tuwawi, and run back - a choice that would add a full month to her journey, and return her in a much worse state.

"Of course. I won't be gone long," she promised, planting a wet kiss across Galileo's muzzle before scampering off to make arrangements. In her mind, this was a good decision - a happy one. "I'll see you soon!"
