I spilled blood in the water - Rosalyn - January 05, 2021

Rosalyn had been struggling since the bear attack with more than just her physical wounds, but as time wore on, she knew that something needed done about them.  @Solaire had shown an interest in her maman's teachings, and Rosalyn remembering this, she set out to find the girl.  It wasn't only the healing she needed, but it was a part.

She checked the den where they all usually slept first.  Solaire?  She called, looking.  If she was not here then the mother would try the beach next, then the forest after.  The bear had torn new lines in her side and along her back, and the force of it's blows had irritated a familiar pain in her skull.  If nothing else, perhaps her daughter would have something for that.

RE: I spilled blood in the water - Solaire - January 06, 2021

of course solaire had heard about the attack by now, though she hadn't been present on the scene. in the past couple days she'd been focused on gathering whatever herbs she could find despite the winter chill, desperately wanting to be helpful to erzulie, and perhaps helpful on her own time, too.

at the call of her name, the girl was easily awoken from a light nap, and turned towards the entrance of the den. the sunbeam was out rather quickly, sympathetic gaze looking rosalyn over once. she had always been scarred- but her wounds now were worse than what the girl was used to. mama, solaire hummed sadly, very gently bumping her muzzle to rosalyn's cheek, do you need help? she wished she could've prevented this from happening at all.

She needed help, but she'd needed the touch too.  Solaire, @Chacal, @Regin and @Valravn... they were the remainder of her heart, and she would pull them close as she could while she could.  It was a sad and dark twist of the knife that another would be gone only a day or so later.  She lifted her muzzle to rest it against Solaire's cheek, pressing for a moment, before she lowered herself.

She bit her cheek as the welts flexed with the motion, then relaxed against the cave floor.  I do.  Your maman may as well.  She smiled, though it was a subdued one, and watched her daughter curiously.  She'd learned from Erzule, but Rosalyn had never done much with the craft herself.  It mystified her how the two could recall, so well, what to do with so many varied ailments.
