WF involvment. - Cyprin - January 07, 2021

I was told to make a new thread, so here I am! LMAO

It seems we are still getting confused on involvment of WF.

So, are they forced to abide by the rules of suffering one severe injury of tresspassing, or does it not apply?

RE: WF involvment. - Evien - January 07, 2021

if i can voice my opinion
i don't think WF should fall subject to that rule. i think that's unreasonable due to the fact that other animals don't respect wolf territory borders in real life, and most of the time tend to leave one another alone. and then there's the whole difference in size/ability that comes into play, along with how realistic it would be if it occurred in nature.
i do think they should be chased, if the pack wants to chase them, but i don't think they should be under the same rule as other wolves would.
i've just never seen it be a problem/thought that it didn't apply to them in general.

Just a thought... but wasn't something mentioned in the discussion re: the PPC's, stats, etc about WF and how they basically don't apply to the same rules as wolves do, etc?

Or am I crazy? ;-; I'm probably crazy.

i wouldnt subject them to the rules. if a lynx trespasses onto a heavily guarded wolf territory, it would notably be killed. if a bear comes through, IRL not much a wolf can do about it

We are currently working on how we are going to clarify all of this and maybe adjust some things.

But as it stands today - If your WF is not aggressively trespassing, then they are not subject to the rules.  WF are native, it makes sense that they'd be around.

If your WF is aggressive, however, then it should be up to PM distinction.  This was discussed in the previous thread, but as it stands now, we try to strike a balance between what is fair to players of wolves vs players of WF, and sometimes we weigh on the sides of wolf players because they are who this game is tailored to.  If a PM wishes WF who are outright attacking their pack to abide by trespassing rules, it's fair to do so.
