In life we loved you dearly. In death we love you still - Khali - January 19, 2021 Pain. That was the only feeling that was sent through his body after his son mentioning Lily died. What had he done? His children were grown up now, without their mother and without... him. The void they probably felt would never be filled. An apology would simply not do. The looks from Cam sealed that fate for him. Forgiveness would never be good enough, Khali should have been there to protect them to help them after she passed. It felt wrong to leave Cam behind without clearing the air but the pain was so intense. The willows was the only place he had thought about going since the moment he had left Neverwinter forest. This was the last place he had saw his beloved before he took Elysiums care baskets to Moonspear’s mothers, that’s when everything had went down hill apparently. Khali only slowed when he saw the distinctive willow branches just up ahead. The hushed sound made his stomach twist. As he made his way through there was nothing left of Elysium and no sign or smell of his beloved. Just the soft sound of the branches rubbing together and the smell of sea intertwined with the smell of willow trees. The sight of nothing pained him. The mans chest grew so tight that every breath was like trying to breathe through a straw. Tears still burdened his eyes as panic consumed him. It seemed that the news piled on top of his long journey had proven to much for his body to have handled. Pain had filled his chest as his legs crumbled like dirt beneath him. Khali hit the ground and watched as the world had become as dark as the heart that still beat inside of his chest. It’s so hard to live when it feels like you have nothing to live for. |
