goldlimb - Teya - April 12, 2021

brecheliant bustled, but teya drew herself away from her duties to spirit over the border. the girl was prepared to be gone for several hours, perhaps a day, and left early before the sun with a chirrup to @Wraen upon her whereabouts.
dazzled, the violet let her stride sink mindlessly into a run, one that carried her to the stoneways of the forbidding range that separated their valley from the hinterlands.
here she clambered happily upon and up, pausing upon a rock ledge to stare at the scene before her. spring, bright and insistent, filling her eyes with myriad hues, and the mountain which had once been moonspear in the distance. teya watched a pair of mountain goats gallop along the stone face before she turned toward the water not far away, wondering what sort of fish could be had here.

RE: goldlimb - Kallik - April 28, 2021

He wandered freely in this new reality. There were no structure or rules, at least not any like the boundaries he had been accustomed to when he had been a child confined to the borders of Easthollow. He was surprised to discover how much he flourished with all the freedom he had gained over the last few months. He was strong from the travels and confident from his time spent on his own. He checked in with his cousin as often as he could, but was otherwise exploring the world, as well as himself.

He had scaled the mountain with the ease of youth and privilege. It was easy to forget the things that troubled him in the darkness of night when he found places like this. And even more distracting was the woman that stopped near the stream just ahead. She was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen, and he was struck with the need to know her.

He trotted forward, stopping a short distance away as he released a soft chuff to test the waters. Maybe she didn't want his company.

the girl had not long approached the surface when her attention was commanded by another: a tall young stranger with a coat that glimmered whitely. yet as she approached, tail waving in immediate interest, teya saw that he held moonsilver at his points and a pair of soft greenleaf eyes. pretty. her current wickedness smacked delightedly in her, and the violet halted in front of the younger.
"you come to fish?" the raven lilted, drifting away from him into the shallows. here she wet her pelt to the shoulders, then glanced at the boy again, lifting her chin to invite him closer. in truth, the violet would fish; but who could turn away when the quarry was less aquatic? "i teya," the murmured, curious.

RE: goldlimb - Kallik - May 05, 2021

He hadn't come here to fish; in fact, that was the furthest thing from his mind currently. No, he said plainly, seeing no reason to lie.

He didn't let her silent invitation go unanswered for long as he moved forward and into the water. He stopped in front of her and took a seat. i teya, she told him; it was cute. He nodded, a playful smirk lifting one corner of his mouth. Kallik, he offered in return.

You like to swim here? he asked, for lack of anything better to say. He wasn't exactly suave yet, and his mind had sort of gone blank because he was busy watching the way the water hugged her form. He tried not to let her see him watching, but he wasn't sure how successful he had been.

teya saw where his eyes went, this kallik, and grinned openly, full of a heady wisdom for how he directed himself. "have not swam here before," she revealed in a gentle voice. "is more enjoyable now."
with that, the little violet let her own coolstream gaze flirt slowly over his muscular shoulders and pointed look. young but not foolish; she tilted back her head. he did not smell of many things; nor of pack.
"you are alone?" teya asked all the same, dipping chin to lap some of the fragrant water into her tastebuds.

is more enjoyable now, she told him. He couldn't help the lopsided smile that tilted his lips. Yeah? he asked playfully.

She inspected his scent then, seeming to figure out for herself that he had no pack. It was not a subject he wished to spend much time on because he wasn't interested in feeling all the emotions that came with it. Still, he could answer her without revealing the details of his depressing past. Mostly, he told her with a shrug of his shoulders. I travel with my cousin. Sometimes we go separate ways for a bit and meet back later. It had turned out to be the perfect arrangement. He was old enough that he wanted space to figure out what who he was, and Merrit gave him that. And when he got lonely or wanted to be with his family, he had his cousin for company.

And you? Kallik asked. You smell of pack. Is yours somewhere nearby? He was interested for two reasons: he wanted to know more about the pretty stranger, and he was trying to map out the valley.

his cousin. a couple of wandering boys. at times teya did consider the freedom of what it meant to travel, but she could not leave brecheliant, and did not wish to leave. so she would content herself with living vicariously through others.
"that way," she told him softly, flinging a wet paw with its droplets in an arc. she meant to motion in the direction of the fen, but only splashed herself. a laugh, tasting the water upon her lips.
she was uninterested in recruiting at this time.
"where you and cousin go?" she inquired, swimming lazily in a half-circle.
