Moon Song - Fig - May 02, 2021

Thirsty...

With heaving sides and exaggerated steps the yearling scoured the earth in search for water to aid his dried tongue and lips.

Senses—numbed too long ago to remember which way was north or south did nothing to help his compass, and with the small tickle in the back of his mind reminding him his end was near Fig gave not a care for potentially wandering into pack's lands.

He only needed salvation in the form of water.

RE: Moon Song - Kynareth Deagon - May 02, 2021

The Grandmaster is doing his usual duties, tending to and peeing on the borders to show his claim. Until he roams towards one spot and smells. A stranger’s scent. He knows not who has wandered into his borders this time and he even laughs out loud to himself. Their borders and pack lands have been quiet for some time, but the more frequent visitors seem to be making up for that.

So he follows it further into the strath. His massive form sniffs and snoffs until he’s making visual contact with whoever decided to wander in here unannounced. A smirk pulls at his lips and his golden eyes akin to the sun rake over his interesting pelt. Oh, this should be fun, as per usual.

Though he does sense something akin to dread regarding their little visitor. His steps are borderline stumbling and his form is weak looking and frail. Perhaps the Saints do live up to their name in more ways than one. This man seeks help. Deciding he will give it to him, he trots up beside and stops in front of him, intentionally blocking him from going any further. Perhaps he’s a bit closer than he needs to, but Kyn never usually minds anyone’s personal space.

He lowers his head slightly and eyes meet the others own. “Don’t look too good there, sweetheart.” He says in a way that is just a hairs breath away from being teasing. “Need something?” He asks with an upwards tilt to his tone in question.

RE: Moon Song - Fig - May 02, 2021

Lucky for Fig another type of salvation arrived;

But only in the form of a hulking beast surely planning to eat him.

Not even recognizing the stranger till he was dead center, the yearling was startled by the sudden presence, stumbling backward at the close proximity and falling to his hocks amidst wheezing pants.

"Water-" he croaked. "Water." he didn't have the right mind to comment on the endearing name given, nor offer any sort of important conversation starters. The boy was so young—just out of puphood and barely learning social skills. It didn't occur to him that the beast afront may have been part of a pack. Maybe he was a stranger.

Maybe he knew where water was.

RE: Moon Song - RIP Fury - May 02, 2021

Pregnant Empress has entered the chat

Nyra is incredibly close to her due date and she can feel it. But that doesn't deter her from dragging herself through the Strath despite tender teats and back pain.

Soon enough she's coming up next to her co-lead and staring at their trespasser expectantly.

He needs water. Practically begging for it.
The Overseer feels her motherly instincts swirling, and she gives in begrudgingly.

"Come." She commands gently,
"I will take you to water." Glimpsing Kynareth with a look that says trust me, the Queen gestures with her head for the young lad to follow.

RE: Moon Song - Kynareth Deagon - May 02, 2021

This man needs water. If it isn’t obvious by the way he pants the word desperately, it’s obvious from his raspy voice, white hums, and cracked looking tongue. Even though he’s in despair the brindled brute’s smirk doesn’t fall from his face as the other falls back on his ass from his surprise approach. If anything he chuckles so quietly the other might not have been able to hear him let alone acknowledge his rudeness.

Then his Overseer comes barreling in. Ky is impressed Nyra isn’t stuck on her side and in labor yet, but he shows his happiness for her sudden presence with a glance in her direction and a subtle wag of a curled tail. He can see her thinking and swears he sees a hint of softness in her eyes. A circular, cream brow rises and he smiles at her this time — a knowing one — just as she gives him one back.

So the Grandmaster simply nods to her and slots himself beside the dehydrated wolf. If allowed, he’d reach down and enclose his teeth around his scruff and haul him back to his feet. Urging him forward with a push of his massive head to his hip before settling in behind the pair as they walk towards the river. He’ll survive, Kyn has no doubts, but he’s more interested in how he got here in the first place.

RE: Moon Song - Whrist - May 02, 2021

The black furred female stood staring at herself in the stream something was wrong with her she just couldn't put a paw on it, she couldn't see the rounder belly in the reflection of her face in the water, so she was still at a loss as to what was different.

Her ears flicked toward noise coming toward her, just her luck. She lapped at the waters surface to hide the fact she had been staring at her reflection and contemplating Charles tactic of burying her head in the water and screaming.

Then she looked up at the trio of wolves coming toward her, with water dripping from her chin. She almost wagged her tail until she noticed the one with the Grandmaster and the Overseer was not pack, her white blues narrowed on the stranger but she didn’t speak or act against him. He was lucky he had these two as his entourage; a commoner being escorted around by royalty.

RE: Moon Song - Fig - May 02, 2021

A ghost arrived shortly after with the promise of water, and with nothing else in his empty noggin the boy happily accepted the help of the beast's touches. Though it did spook him slightly with the evident shiver of his fur, the boy felt at ease by the new-comer's fondness.

Stumbling closely between the two, the boy let himself be nudged and guided whenever his balance strayed his center.

He didn't know his saviors names—He didn't care to.

And when water was finally in sight Fig paid no mind to the other stranger at the edge. He pushed himself forward, stumbling and falling to his elbows as he submerged into the cool liquid. Gulping, and gulping, drinking his fill soppily whilst pushing the world away to the edges of his conscious —streams falling down his chin and chest till he was drenched.

Water, water. - His mind repeated.

RE: Moon Song - RIP Fury - May 02, 2021

And so it was done.

The trio moved to the nearest river, and the Overseer nodded once to Whrist in acknowledgment while the youth stumbled forward to drink his fill.

Calmly, the warmaiden padded up beside him and nudged him gently with her paw
"Dont drink too much too fast, you'll get sick." She urged, looking around for a moment to the rocks where others could possibly be hiding.

Just in case.

RE: Moon Song - Kynareth Deagon - May 02, 2021

The chocolate furred boy seems content on allows Kyn to haul him up and help him keep his balance on the way there. He stays relatively close and assists whenever he’s needed.

When finally they reach the river he sees the unmistakable form of Whirst and all of her beautiful glory. She seems happy to see her alpha’s and then not so happy to see their little newcomer. He smiles to her and pads up closer to nudge his crown against her own in a comforting greeting meant to calm her ever growing ire to the strangers the pack seems to always get.

“He’s new. And apparently he was dying of dehydration.” Is all he says to give her a reason as to why he’s here.

He turns his gaze to the male then as he stumbles into the water and frantically laps up as much as he can. Splashing it all over himself in his desperation, Kyn only watches on. His smile casually fades into a more neutral expression as he waits for the other to be sated to finally be able to answer questions. Or perhaps he’d had to leave the questions ‘till later. Maybe this mystery man needs to go see his healers in the meantime. Get some good ol’ shut eye and he’ll be right as rain tomorrow. Then he’d bombard him with questions.

All the while Nyra hovers over him and tries to warn him not to drink too much too fast. Somehow Kyn doesn’t know if he’ll listen, but that’s not his problem as of right now, it’ll be his medics.

So from his place beside Whrist, he calls to Nyra. “Maybe we should take him to Vein and save the questions for when he has his mind back.” Ky suggests evenly, gaze moving to the male.

RE: Moon Song - Whrist - May 02, 2021

Whrist returned the warm greeting she received reveling in it even, but she just could not stand by as the whelp over drank, if she heard him retching she feared she’d vomit too. And that would be embarrassing on a whole other level her for her.

So she left the warm presence of her grandmaster, another strike against the boy as far as she was concerned, walked over to the newcomer and moved to nip him on the neck, not to draw blood but to stop his actions before he started them, both he and her vomiting.

“Listen to the Overseer” she hissed in his ear. To close to him to move away if he struck back at her blindly.

RE: Moon Song - Fig - May 04, 2021

It didn't occur to Fig that his manners were irk-some. Not till a sharp nip was delivered to the back of his neck, causing him to jolt and look back, bewildered at the dark female.

"P-Pardon?" He rasped, bending down low to the earth. "What do you mean by O-oh.. oh I don't feel too well."

Crumpling to his stomach, the boy writhed with pain. His eyes bound tightly shut, bottom lip trembling as he dug in with his fangs. It seemed as if they were right. Although Fig didn't hear, perhaps it wasn't best to drink so fast. What started out as the feeling of bliss now was starting to feel like damnation.

And promptly he vomited—
Spewing his stomach from his throat with the pressure of a waterfall, spraying water and bile in all directions as tears welled in the corner of his eyes. It stung, it hurt. The boy wasn't sure he had felt anything as painful before in his short life.

"Sorry," he blubbered through the short breaks of heaves.

RE: Moon Song - Kynareth Deagon - May 04, 2021

Kyn smiles as Whrist accepts his affections, but she doesn’t stay rooted long as they all watch the stranger male gulp down the water precariously. Kyn’s pretty close to think that he shouldn’t be drink so much water so fast and he doesn’t stop Whrist when she moves over and promptly nips him in warning. He hasn’t listened to their Overseer’s words clearly, so the next step is touch and Whrist gratefully didn’t outright attack him. He’s proud of her. He thinks with a smile as he watches the scene unfold before him.

The guy looks confused and then he looks queasy. Kyn squints his eyes and a suspicious expression makes itself known on his face. Then he watches as he vomits up all the water he just drank and apologizes for it afterwards. He chuckles and shakes his head, not really feeling bad for him since he did it to himself. Kyn does know that he has to get him to Vein, it’s clear he’s not feeling too good.

So before Whirst or Nyra can berate him for not listening to them, the brindled brute steps in casually. Looking down at him he shakes his head once more.

“Should’ve listened to them, kid.” He grunts with a spark of ‘I told you so’ humor in his voice.

Then, if allowed, he’d take a hold of the males scruff in his teeth once more and force him to stand. He would already begin ushering him in the direction of Vein’s den before anyone had the audacity to fight him about it.

“We’ll getcha fixed up, but stop throwing up everywhere, dammit.” Kyn chuckles as he forces Fig to move with him.
