I sometimes have wondered, where you've gone - Lunaria - June 14, 2021

Luna had spent her time lonesome nowadays -- the decision on joining another pack still left up to pondering -- but something about being back in the Teekons made her wonder what the people she'd met before had been up to. Strangely enough, Taikon's scent trail was nowhere to be found, nor were the ever collective scents of the pack he'd call Ivory Rose. Had so much disappeared during the time of her absence? It almost felt unreal...

It was becoming fairly late -- not exactly dark yet, though the sky was beginning to amber. Luna held a freshly caught mourning dove between her jaws which was not much, but enough to satiate her appetite for the night -- she assumed. Deciding to take a seat by the lakeside, legs carried her lithe form towards the damp waterside and wasted no time lying down to get comfortable.

The emotional fog that's been clouding Lune's mind since her return; it was slowly starting to improve. To find any strength that will compel her to return was yet to happen, but for now it was the solitude of this evening that earned her attention...

RE: I sometimes have wondered, where you've gone - Draggonfly - June 16, 2021

The world was wrapped inside twilight as the sun began to settle and waver its goodbye for the day and the first stars appeared like tiny twinkles at the night sky. The air was painted in colors of rich amber-tones that were reflected brightly by the lake's waters. Clouds that surfaced above his head were also mirrored down below inside the water. Nature was beautiful and right now it felt as if he was watching two colorful worlds all in one. A sigh of awe passed away from his leathery lips before Dragonfly inhaled again extra deeply, trying to continue onwards with his journey.

But he wasn't alone on this early night, amidst the amber hues of the world he noticed the contours of a petite, feminine wolf who settled down by the lakeside with a small prey. His curiosity led him to wander astray and towards the other lone wolf; maybe even have some company for a few fleeting hours as life of a lone wolf dictated much freedom and loneliness all in one. "Hey there." Dragonfly said, announcing his presence and friendly intentions with a flick of his tail. "The stars are going to be beautiful tonight." He mentioned, eyes gazing upwards for a moment before they landed back upon the sleek wolf. "Maybe we'll even see the blue blanket with a bright night." Blue blanket? Nope; he meant the Milkyway's spirals but such information went far and beyond his knowledge or world of understanding.

She was too preoccupied with her prize to notice at first, but it wasn't long before the scent of a stranger began intermixing with her prize. The raven jumped a bit before turning to meet the sight of someone stark in contrast to the summer's foliage. "Hello there stranger~" the moon nymph cooed with a tail that flicked at the same beat of his own. Her voice lacked the usual chipper it had greeting others she had yet to know about, but was friendly nonetheless. Who would Luna be to turn away some extra company?

'The stars are beautiful tonight,' he says, and that much she agreed upon -- it's the reason she awaited the here afterall. "--and the sky's reflection against the lake makes it all the more enjoyable, don't you agree?" Lune added with a smile, bright gaze following the artic's path as he moved closer. Did she know this guy? Nope. Not that particularly knowing who she talked to at night mattered much unless they made quite the impression, yet it may be because she was feeling more jumpy than usual.

His next comment called for an inquisitive brow raise,  followed by an equally curious smile that lit up he delicate features in quite amusement. "Ah, I can't say I've ever heard of a blue blanket before, but I wouldn't be opposed to you showing me if you stick around?"

"Abso - frickin' - lutely!" Dragonfly replied with a dreamy sigh as his brown-honey eyes gazed at the lake. As seconds turned into minutes and minutes turned slowly into hours the night sky would darken, but not before the sun would finally settle behind the mountains and darkness would smoothly fall upon the lands.

"I'd be very glad to show you the big, blue blanket. It has some flickering lights -- I mean stars -- of course too." Would it be called a blanket? Would it be called a scarf? Truthfully he wasn't quite sure what the astronomical name was. Stars, the sun and moon intrigued him but he had little to no knowledge about the mysterious ways in which it worked or the names.

"Hey, are you a connoisseur of stars and the nightly sky?" Dragonfly wandered as he settled down in a sphinx-like position. Had he been so polite to ask for her name -- which he wasn't since his excitement took over -- he would have even learned she was named after the moon. Speaking of which; "Hey look who's there: the moon. Kind of like the king of night. Don't you agree?" His gaze climbed down, from the nightly sky to the petite, femine black wolf who blended well with the scenery with her midnight-coat.
