fighting the system - Charon - September 22, 2014 anyone's welcome :-)
Charon was tiny, but eager to explore the world nonetheless. He’d seen pretty much every corner of the den, but he hadn’t found the exit of the safe haven yet. Every time he’d get somewhere, there was someone who would stop him and put him back close to his mother; Charon, of course, did not realise that this was the reason he would be put back in place, because he tried to get away, and was beginning to wonder if this was all there was to the world. Just this den, and just his family. But the wolves that came were different each time, so there had to be a place where they came from, and went to. Today, Charon set out on another adventurous quest towards finding the Place The Others Came From. There weren’t any visitors and although his parents and siblings were very interesting in their own ways, Charon wished there were new Others that he could explore. With nothing to do – Charon had just woke up and had drunk – the white child started to squirm around in the den. There was a particular root that he’d found on one of the walls that he hadn’t yet managed to conquer. Searching along the wall, Charon eventually found the root. As he bumped his nose into it, he let out a squeaky mewl of surprise, and then wrapped his mouth around it. This time, he wasn’t intending to lose the wrestling match. RE: fighting the system - Signe - September 22, 2014 brother! <3
In the week that had passed since her birth, Liyaní had already doubled in size. Considering that she was so teeny to begin with, that wasn’t saying much; she was still incredibly small and would likely remain that way for the rest of her life. She hadn’t accomplished a great deal, but in her subconscious she had already begun learning. For instance, she knew that the other round, fuzzy blobs she was surrounded by were bigger than her and that she needed to be extra pushy if she ever hoped to nurse from their mother or find a decent spot to snooze. She was somewhat of a light sleeper, and so when one of her brothers roused and began moving about, Liyaní was hot on his trail. She couldn’t yet see, so she relied on her sense of smell and touch to guide her across the den’s floor. However, she wasn’t prepared to encounter one of her siblings as quickly as she did and ended up bumping her nose rather roughly into Charon’s behind. A started squeak resonated from the youngster’s mouth and in her determination she began attempting to climb over the other furry, wriggling thing. RE: fighting the system - Charon - September 23, 2014 <3 Sister! And granddaughter! XD
Charon had a hard time trying to beat the root that he had tried to pull loose before. It kept slipping from his tiny mouth, no matter how hard he clenched it tight, and no matter how hard he pulled, the boy never seemed to get it to move much at all. Through his filled mouth, Charon let out a frustrated, muffled mewl of anger at his arch-nemesis. When his sister bumped into his behind with a surprised squeak, Charon let go of the root, surprised, and tumbled backwards with a high-pitched mewl. He plopped on his behind, right next to his sister, and turned to let her know vocally that he didn't appreciate of her making him lose the battle of his life. However, just as he opened his mouth to loudly squeak at Liyaní, she started to climb all over him. Charon pawed through the air, trying to get her to get off him, because making a point out of being annoyed with someone wasn't really turning any heads if you were the one being overrun. RE: fighting the system - Signe - September 28, 2014 She couldn’t make sense of what had happened. Somehow she’d wound up in a tangled mess with one of her brothers, and she didn’t have the slightest clue how to maneuver herself out of the mess they’d made. Charon didn’t help matters by protesting against his sister’s attempts to climb over him; he was trying to wriggle in one direction while Liyaní was trying to move towards another. One wrong shift of her weight sent the tiny girl tumbling off of her sibling and onto the den floor once again. This time, however, she wound up halfway on her back and halfway on her side. The position was most uncomfortable and, in her frustration, Liyaní mewled loudly and began to push her paws into Charon’s belly in an attempt to right herself once more. RE: fighting the system - Charon - September 29, 2014 Charon's attempts to get his sister off him didn't seem to work very well; she was still there and instead of getting better, matters only seemed to be getting worse as Charon tried to get Liyaní off him. For the both of them, it was like trying to swim upstream; struggling to go in a direction, but getting nowhere, even though both of them wanted the same (to be untangled). Finally Liyaní fell off him. Charon shook his head when she was off him, glad to be freed, if only for a moment. Soon, however, Liyaní’s paws were all over him once more as she tried to use her brother to right herself. Charon squeaked in protest at his sister and, deciding that what she wanted was a wrestling match because she just wouldn’t leave him alone, the boy squiggled closer to his sister and tried to plop down on top of her while trying to grab one of her paws or other bodyparts in his toothless mouth. RE: fighting the system - Signe - October 01, 2014 Charon's new avatar reminds me SO much of Reynaert. Those freckles. ;_; <3
As much as she enjoyed putting things in her mouth, Liyaní soon realized that she wasn’t a fan of it happening to her. She continued to wriggle and squirm against her brother’s side, whining loudly in protest when her efforts to roll her pudgy little body over seemed to fail. Then, rather unexpectedly, something wet and gummy wrapped itself around her tiny black forepaw. Whatever was happening, Liyaní didn’t like it. Disgusted, the sooty pup cried out and tried to shift her paw away from Charon’s mouth. Doing so only granted his mouth better access to her ankle, and so that part of her leg ended up wet and covered in spit, too. If that wasn’t horrible enough, her litter mate also plopped his weight down on top of her; considering how bitty she was compared to him, Liyaní felt as though she’d just been squished beneath a mountain. Her dissenting squeaks became more frantic and she used all the force she could muster to try to scramble out from beneath him. RE: fighting the system - Charon - October 02, 2014 I love them freckles! ^__^ Rey was so adorable too!
Charon cooed excitedly when his mouth caught something in it, and he happily nommed on his prize – his sister’s paw – with him toothless gums. When the paw was trying to squiggle loose Charon let out a squeaky growl, trying to deter his prize from getting loose, but he couldn’t keep the squiggly paw in reach and soon it went away from him. Charon bit through the air a few times, but without result, for he couldn’t find where it had gone to. When he managed to squish his sister a little, he found another paw though, one that he hadn’t nommed on yet, and he wrapped his gums around it too, drooling all over the place. Liyaní’s cries of protest went unnoticed to Charon, who was far too busy drooling over her paws, and who didn’t yet hear. He continued to crawl over Liyaní, until eventually he fell off on the other side of her, losing the paw he’d been nomming on and toppling over. Charon shook his head in surprise after his summersault over Liyaní’s back, and then started to cry because of the surprise of the sudden movements and loss of his (well, okay, his sister’s) paw. RE: fighting the system - Signe - October 14, 2014 One drool-covered paw was bad enough, but evidently Charon felt the need to ensure that another one of his sister's feet was thoroughly coated in his saliva as well. Once Liyaní succeeded in freeing her paw from her brother's mouth, relief swelled within her dim puppy mind until she felt Charon's slobbery gums all over a whole different set of her toes. She was absolutely distraught at that point. A series of squeaky, petrified cries escaped her tiny lungs as she thrashed about. Then, without warning, she felt Charon's weight topple off of her and her paw slipped free of his gross, moist mouth. Still, Liyaní was anything but pacified in that moment and in her distress and frustration, she squirmed forward until her tiny snout bumped straight into her sibling's face. The sooty girl wasted no time in opening her mouth and drooling onto Charon's bitty button nose. Its texture was much different than what Liyaní was used to, and she mewled with delighted curiosity to have discovered something new to inspect with her gums and her tongue. RE: fighting the system - Charon - October 17, 2014 want to finish soon? they grow so fast at this stage!
Charon's mewly cries fell to deaf ears as he sat there and contemplated the loss of the paw in his mouth, and before long Charon himself had forgotten what he was upset about. He was still mewling, however, calling for attention and a loving parent to nuzzle things better, despite having forgotten what he was so upset about in the first place. Liyaní's touch made him abruptly stop crying, startled yet not uncomfortable. He tilted his head slightly, but when Liyaní wrapped her mouth around his nose, he squeaked in protest. Even though she had no teeth yet, Charon's nose was a sensitive instrument and instinct made sure that he did not enjoy the sensation of anyone going that near it, touching it, and trying to eat it (well, maybe not eat it, but at least slobber all over it). Charon instantly erupted in a series of wailing protests, and then started batting his paws at his assailant and sister. In the midst of it all, Charon let out a long yawn, growing more and more tired from the playing and eager for a nap. RE: fighting the system - Signe - October 20, 2014 Sure! I'd say we're due for another thread anyways. c:
Charon's protests did not go unnoticed by his sibling. When she felt his paws batting against her face, Liyaní let out a surprised squeak and wiggled backwards out of his reach. Although she'd enjoyed sampling her brother's nose with her toothless gums and tongue, she wasn't about to let herself be pummeled to a pulp in the process. Having freed herself from Charon's onslaught, Liyaní squirmed and wriggled about until her mother relocated her against her side once more. Her energy had been drained during her wrestling match with her litter mate, and the sooty girl was whisked away into slumber moments later. RE: fighting the system - Charon - October 21, 2014 definitely :D
Their parents noticing the children growing tired from their play, not only Liyaní was picked up by their mother. Charon was soon grabbed by one of their parents too and set back by Julooke's side, where he let out a content squirmy mewl as he eagerly accepted the warmth of his mother's fur around him. Charon stretched his tiny paws and yawned once more before he drifted off to sleep by his mother and sister's side, tired from a day's play. |
