Clouds turned overhead, tumbling across the sky to block out the sun. The shade was a welcome gift to those who traveled beneath it. The dappled figure of Issorartuyok sighed a breath of relief.
Meerkat had offered sound instruction, he had found. The northerner ranged from the mountain beside the glacier until he had scented the markings of another claim. Issorartuyok had not wished to intrude upon yet another pack of natives and had skirted around the cliffs warily.
Once beyond the scent of wolf marking, Issorartuyok had found a slice of beach guarded by high stones. The northerner passed into the territory, interested.
