peggy sue - Peewit - September 10, 2021

hope you’re okay with the assumptions! perhaps a wild @Valentine or Avocet

The ocean was a curious creature. Though picturesque and serene on the calmest of days, there was something about its vastness that made one uneasy. Sometimes it would sigh, and sometimes it would rear its foam-tipped head in a rage unparalleled. It was both a temptress, and a wizened old man, ancient and seductive in nature but, nonetheless, something Peewit had called home since the beginning.

@Avocet had left well before dawn, judging by the cold and still flattened patch of ferns to the left of him. While he wouldn’t call himself a slacker, he was certainly not an early bird. With a yawn and a stretch, the sea-boy wriggled between the shrubs that lined their makeshift nests and into the bright midday sun. It truly was glorious here.

With nose to the ground, Peewit set off following Avocet’s scent until he reached the plateau. The presence of wolf was rampant here, although… who were they? It was certainly more than just his sister’s familiar stench. Crap, he hoped she hadn’t ran into trouble.

With the ocean at his side, the salt-sprite tipped his head and let out a nervous howl letting her know he was here. Stupid, now EVERYONE will know you’re here. Peewit at least hoped they weren’t the cutthroat territorial type.

But for now, he would observe patiently atop the grass as gannets dived into the shimmering depths below. As the saying goes, for all at last return to the sea.

RE: peggy sue - Valentine - September 14, 2021

The plateau was so lively today, wasn’t it? This was the second call he’d heard, and again he wondered if the marauders had come. What a coincidence that would be! But again, he wouldn’t know unless he saw for himself. So onward he walked towards the sound of the tune.
Through the blades of fine grass he spotted a man. Similar to the last visitor. Unfamiliar just as she was. An inquisitive hum came from Valentine’s throat as he drew near.
Ahoy! he greeted in his usual cheerful tone. I heard your call. Is there something you seek?
