You could use a buddy, - Aliana - September 30, 2021

Aliana stood at the far western borders of the territory, staring at Lake Rodney before trotting away. Just by looking at Rodney, she knew it was a good hunting spot. It was a perfect watering hole so herds must be regularly coming back and forth from it, tracking any lingering scents shouldn't be too hard. She just needed a couple of good hunters to back her up. She let out a beckoning howl for the two hunters she knew in the Pack.

@Phox and @Bronco ...

She sat and wanted patiently for the two and once they arrived, she explained herself, " I hope you two aren't doing anything important. I just wanted to ask if any of you were are able to come with me down to Lake Rodney. Ruenna asked me to sniff out any possible prey scents over there for the Autumn Equinox and help would be appreciated. "

RE: You could use a buddy, - RIP Bronco - October 03, 2021

With a somewhat reluctant saunter, the lanky, battle-scarred Bronco made his way toward the call that had summoned him. A voice he recognized, but not with any level of familiarity. This brought him a pang of guilt as he padded along, head and tail drooping. There were many in the pack he was not really familiar with. He'd been keeping to himself, and being summoned now made him wonder if he wasn't being called out.

But Aliana had called for Phox as well, though Bronco wasn't entirely sure why they'd be brought together. They already knew that Niamh was dead, so it couldn't have been that sort of news.

He tried to perk up a bit when he caught sight of Aliana, so he didn't look so woebegone or worried. His tail still hung, lifeless, but he lifted his homely head and gave his companions a congenial nod as he approached. He remained quiet though, so she might explain why they'd been summoned.

While hunting was a skill of his, he felt himself clam up at the thought of leaving the pack and going to Rodney Lake. He clenched his jaw a bit, but tried to keep some composure. The invitation was thoughtful, but he knew he couldn't commit to it.

"I...Appreciate the invitation," He said, after clearing his throat. His voice still sounded dry. "But I'm not in the right state to be leaving the pack yet." He hoped that his frail composure might be enough proof, and that he wouldn't have to explain that the majority of his reluctance came from internal trepidation.
