deshret - Ramesses - October 19, 2021 can be one post! no order
pharaoh stood with the shabti-queen @Satsu.
akashingo had become something unto itself. "this day we have become the first of a namesake. the first of a lineage." Ra cast His eye down upon the mesa and turned it all to a fierce red glow; @Nephele, their loyal guard. @Arsenio, ever watchful. @Sihaya, whom ramesses had not yet met but heard tell of through satsu; his eyes lingered there before moving to @Jawahir and @Sayf, @Mouseberry. tamar. the roman germanicus, somewhere in the shadow of them. and @Crowfeather, voice inviting for he had not yet come to know the truth. "we thank the gods. and we believe in our own strength. akashingo is not only a place of delight. do not forget that we listen — always." pharaoh stood tall and grand. "the name of akashingo shall stand. so let it be written. so let it be done." the lapis eyes turned their focus upon satsu, wondering what lacework firmness she might have for their number. RE: deshret - Satsu (Ghost) - October 19, 2021 beside her proclaimed pharaoh. they stood at the meeting place of hinode — the overland throne, guarded by watchful warriors who helped those loyal to akashingo find their way. the mesa sprawled around them, tapering to far-off steppes one way, down to the river along the opposiute. and all of it, their own. eyes turned to satsu; at once she felt unsure, though a hard edge entered her gaze and a stiffness to her joints, compensating for the sensation. she did not know what to say, and so she remained silent and cold, beside the warm, gregarious man to whom she was betrothed. RE: deshret - Arsenio - October 19, 2021 Arsenio watched the Pharaoh speak to his people with charm and warmth. His tail wavered pleasantly from side to side, his lips curled into a tiny smile. He had opted to keep the glassy-eyed appearance for the Pharaoh’s announcement. If he stood at the foot of the queen and made sure no harm met her, all would be well. The words that were spoken were washed away in thoughts of the maid’s voice, the way she said his name, the sharp glint of her brown eyes. Arsenio wished that he could tease her again, to fluster her until she turned from him, the way that he had grown used to it. It was funny for him to think that a maid would have bewitched him so, but he did not mind. If not for Tamar, Akashingo would have sickened him. The Greek guard held his spot, but his eyes traveled to each of the wolves who listened to the Pharaoh speak, then to the two leaders who stood at the head. Such an odd pair, the lady Satsu and Ramesses. Standing beside each other, they were a stark contrast of each other – a smiling, basking man and his frigid wife-to-be. RE: deshret - Themis - October 19, 2021 Nephele kept her watch, stood near the royals, eyeing each of her pack mates and their allies all in one. Her lips thinned, pressed together, before she shook it off. She was simply a guard. Pharoah had his eyes elsewhere. Nephele would not be thrust from her position into another suddenly. This was not Pidáo. This was not his pack. For the moment, she was fine with this. She missed her friends, the few she had. She missed her old duties. But she had new ones now, and she stuck to them. Her eyes left the royals, left the crowd, and turned to the horizon. RE: deshret - Jawahir - October 19, 2021 strong words from the beloved sun man, crowned now. nothing from the frigid bitch that jawahir had been tending for weeks; a scathing look towards the gilded woman from the shadows, then away jawahir would slink. now was the rise of akashingo—soon would be the rise of jawahir, but for now they would remain secret and safe among the mesa's crowded halls, biding their time. RE: deshret - Sayf - October 19, 2021 He listened to the god speak, bewitched as ever. His gaze moved to Satsu when she was given the floor, but nothing needed to be added after the perfectly given speech from the pharaoh. He felt jawahir move from beside him, and looked after them with a frown. Then he turned and followed them into the shadows. Something stirred within his companion—he knew them and he could feel it. He wondered if they would divulge their inner turmoil to him. RE: deshret - Sihaya - October 19, 2021 omg I love this thread and all the shade being thrown around right now
The gathering elated Sihaya who looked around at the many new and curious faces. For a group about to go to war, he could sense the disharmony beneath the golden man, Ramesses – Pharaoh, and the queen Stasu – Shabti. Sihaya adored it. Begone were the rigid days of holy Siahaedra and their righteous campaign. Sihaya welcomed the discord, the indulgence, and the iniquity of Akashingo. He looked towards his new King with a plastic smile and dreamed of the fruit this tree would bear. What glorious opportunities awaited him! Long live Akashingo! RE: deshret - Tamar - October 20, 2021 she too did not speak.
tamar found it odd that the queen said nothing. in some moments, jawahir departed. sayf followed. the maidservant bowed low before the pharaoh and the shabti before following suit, soon given over to one hallway or room where she might be alone. RE: deshret - Mouseberry - October 22, 2021 Mouseberry did not reveal herself to the others. But she was present, although entirely by accident; therefore she might be seen, even despite hunkering behind some landscape item meant to obscure her. Whatever it was Mouseberry did not suss out except for its shape and size. It seemed enough. Words; words of what they were, but nothing to follow from any. The voice belonged to who Mouseberry knew was Pharaoh. And then the sounds of departure. She would have liked to follow, but did not think it wise to move and be seen when she might not be seen at all. |
