the scarlet lord - Ramesses - October 28, 2021 running the same time as this @Satsu @Nephele @Sihaya @Satsu @Arsenio @Sakai @Mouseberry @Jawahir @Sayf. it will be assumed that the queen, her guard, and the fellahin stayed behind at akashingo with crowfeather and possibly @Slate. but it is up to you! <3
ramesses set out as the bearwolf did.
he had said to satsu that he would go and he meant it to be so. ramesses visited her once at her apartments before departing, exchanging with the woman a long look before he accompanied germanicus into the flatlands. rain churned red dust into red mud. pharaoh was streaked and filthy with it. the mountains loomed sharp and harsh, but he would not be dissuaded, nor would he stand down. the roman traveled and ramesses also. and then the ursus wolves were gone, swallowed by the vale's cascading shadows. pharaoh turned to his general but said nothing. he only signalled with a shout that akashingo should follow, and trotted grandly down into this pestilential pit within the mountains. RE: the scarlet lord - Themis - October 28, 2021 The shadow had fallen into step with Pharoah, two steps behind to the right of his flank. Her face was set into a severe line, eyes lightly narrowed against the rain turning her undersides dull red. Blue eyes were held narrow and yet unseeing. It was war yet again, and Nephele did not know where her loyalties yet lay. She did not wish to abandon the wolves here and yet…well. Should everything no longer allow for her survival, she would take a chance and run. Of course, this area was familiar to her, in the way of that lapse of existence between Finley and Germanicus. When she had nothing left and purpose was futile. Ramesses shouted for their following in the bearwolves, and Nephele followed. RE: the scarlet lord - Sakai - October 28, 2021 He had not been with the pack for maybe a few weeks, but Sakai found himself settling in just fine. It wasn't difficult to make a home of a place so unknown when he had been doing it for almost over a year. The wolf didn't need much, but received more than was needed now. Now, he took what he wanted. It was nice, to say the very least. Not once before had he had food provided for him... though, he felt a bit odd still that the fellahin cared to hunt for a wolf they hardly knew. How humble the grey man could be. His Pharaoh, who has taken him in and provided him with these comforts, called for the grey mazoi to follow. And so he did, with a slightly more than lazy stroll bringing up the back. Kai was large, and felt comfortable turning tail on whoever may come from behind. There was still a trust the newcomer desired with his packmates, one he was no where near earning, and so he would do whatever was necessary to prove himself worth while. RE: the scarlet lord - Jawahir - October 28, 2021 there was no need for the stilted fellahin to follow, only that they went of their own accord wherever the sun went. the man burned a deeper red as he made his way. he was followed by those loyal to him; the roman was there, and sakai, and a horde of bear-men, all of which jawahir ignored, as they were not pharaoh. they knew best how to cavort in secret and so that is what they did, eager to get a good look at the wolf who had taken the life of a sister. jawahir was no warrior, no - but they were owed a pound of flesh. RE: the scarlet lord - Germanicus - October 28, 2021 germanicus now knew this part of the sunspire all too well.
he traveled in silence, still not yet fully recovered from his flight. there was no malice in the eagle. only waiting and an odd longing to be at the mesa once more. it became clear to his skilled trailing that the saints had dissipated. pharaoh was a performer. germanicus did not think that the egyptian might care this war would not happen. it was the bearwolves, shouting, howling in the night that chilled his blood. heathens. he paced forward into the vale, motioning to the akashingo wolves within him to spread out in a civilized manner while they searched for their enemies. the white wolf nyra was a flash. germanicus gave chase. RE: the scarlet lord - Sihaya - October 28, 2021 Ramesses’ war party was painted Mesa red as they traveled through the downpour into the mountains, into the Vale, leaving queen Satsu and her workers safe in their hive. Sihaya fell into rank, lips pressed into a line, as his thin face fixated on their path ahead. He moved with a swift step behind the golden Pharaoh, fangs snared tightly. There could be much to gain from this venture. Even though the adder was not a juggernaut, he could cut flesh good as any. Spoils of war could mean power of position for the new Mazoi… and a sizeable ego would not turn away this opportunity. He thought of Tamar’s omen: the downfall of Akashingo would be the desires of men. Yet under Siahaedra, his wants had been long squelched and now his appetite was vast. Sihaya saw Gemanicus' signal and spread out with the group, taking the fringes. He wove through the trees and scented the air. He felt the burn of adrenaline run through his veins. Everything felt heightened. Suddenly, the howling and baying of wolves trumpeted a chase. Sihaya saw a retreating wolf and tailed Germanicus to hunt the enemy. RE: the scarlet lord - Ramesses - October 30, 2021 ramesses was most apt in the pursuit. his was a grand sailing, though he kept closer to the wolves of akashingo.
"take whatever you can carry," the pharaoh invited in a proud voice as he watched the mesa warriors flicker among the shadows. if there was no war to be fought, ramesses would take his pleasure elsewhere. it was he who found the marks of fur which remained all of arlette, and he frowned. but in the end of it all, pharaoh chose to say nothing. he paced from new densite to another. "we will go back through the canyon," he decided aloud, for the pleasure of his own commands. "surely the dogs have left something useful." |
