This salvo of food-based warfare - Aventus - November 06, 2021

From the vale, Aventus followed the runaway Saints.

It wasn't hard to track them. Nyra was a mess, and the two were attempting to move quickly, it seemed. If they had made any effort to conceal their trail along the way, it was ruined by the blood left in their wake. A crimson streak on the grass here, a smattering of droplets on stone there, and Aventus was able to follow them even from a considerable distance as surely as if a neon sign was pointing the way for him.

He would never understand how he got out of it all unharmed. No one had targeted him, not even Nyra herself. His father was not so lucky. Merrick was no stranger to pain, but it didn't make Aventus feel any less murderous for the damage they had done. First his mother, then his father ... and somehow they got away, but he had followed. His mind drifted to Arielle. He hoped she was alright, and so help them both if something had happened to her as well.

Aventus tracked them several days, right into Neverwinter Forest, and scoffed at the sheer audacity. Their trail turned south there, but Aventus turned north. He had a good idea where they might be going, but he would not go alone. It was more important to report back to his father, and check on Arielle. Avicus, too, he supposed.

Aventus went north. The village of Moonglow was to the south. He needed to visit them soon.
