laziness equals uselessness - Inutsuk - December 16, 2021 Days had come and gone since Moonglow made a winter home near the glaciers. Hunters prepared to go to work. Strategies were being set into place to cull the weak from the strong, as they would become the easiest targets. Inutsuk was not a man known best for his intelligence, but often more his strength. Though, he was smart enough to be wary of the land they inhabited. He was used to the Spine, as it was assumed the others were as well. They were more comfortable at home, but for the time they were away, he would play his part to ensure all remained safe. Trailing along a valley not too far in distance from Kildeer Rest, he carefully patrolled these grounds, watching for any daring to draw too close. All the while, Inutsuk came to find that the peace and silence was quite enjoyable. This wasn't because company wasn't favored, but everyone needed some alone time once in a while. The snow fell thick, engulfing his feet with each step he took. Winds were sharp and chilly, nipping at tensed limbs. What he had told sivullik about being used to the cold was no lie, but that didn't mean it could still become overbearing. Walking out here too much longer would cause too much stiffness. Eventually, a path would need to be found to return to the ulax. |
