Days later, Druid still felt bothered about Indra’s squalling. Her resentment grew and she had half a mind to tell @Sequoia she didn’t want any little sisters, after all. Why were pups so annoying? She couldn’t remember being like that, nor could she recollect @Witch or @Heda ever being such a lying, whiny brat.
The young huntress ground her teeth together, wishing she could find either one of her sisters today. She trailed westward along the stream that wound through the bypass, though she didn’t venture as far as the marsh. She paused beside the water somewhere in the neighboring grove, plopping to her haunches and peering tetchily at the current.
