I broke free on a Saturday morning - RIP Bronco - January 11, 2022 AW, tagging @Neon for interest :)
Establishing a new pack wasn't a foreign concept to Bronco, who had been through several pack changes in his life. Whether it was a temporary move due to flooding or the very beginning of a new pack, he at least had a decent idea of what needed to happen. And so, he'd begun to take it upon himself to start establishing the borders. They needed a claim large enough that they could hunt within their own boundaries without absolutely eshausting their food supply, but also not so large that a wolf at one border could not assist a wolf along another borded, too far away, if someone decided to trespass. This time, the borders were mostly set by the edge of the forest which was lined with a stand of evergreen trees. These tall spruce trees reached up above the hardwoods that composed the majority of the emberwood, so even a young wolf not paying much attention could patrol with ease. The only trick now was marking it. He'd made his way along the Southern border before stopping to drink from the Southern fork of the river. He'd take a bit of a break now before finding a way across, and continuing along his way. RE: I broke free on a Saturday morning - Neon - January 16, 2022 <333
the bodega wolf finds herself travelling onward, though remaining stable and content in the local area, just traveling through the important landmarks. her pace is light and swift, a length trot gives her good pace to cover ground in hopes of finding something useful to fill her time with. as she grows closer to the unaware man, the growing line of trees becomes more visible in her view. neon can't help but come a bit closer to the natural wall that separates outsiders like her and the others who remain inside of emberwood. the mist is chilly this morning, and a foggy breath enters the air as it escapes her coal-black lips. though, as she pauses to catch her breath, she can see the shape of another out ahead of her. a friendly yip is called over, hoping she earns an invite to converse with them. her tail wags and the woman takes a few steps forward, hopeful. |
