[raid]Bring me the no good workhorse - Æsilfír - January 20, 2022 At first, the boys's treming pleas were easy enough to ignore. She was a bit disgusted by how he pleaded for his 'Mommy,' so she curled her lip at him. She kept her posture licked in an intimidating leer, and cocked one ear away as he began to wail. Let his cries carry, and provoke. But enough was enough- a bit of wailing, and there'd be proof the kid was being held captive. Theh didn't need to draw any nore unnecessary attention. His ear-splitting voice eventually caused her to snap. She growled, and snapped at the air between them as a warning. "Quit yer whingin'! She hissed in annoyance. "Or I'll bite yer tongue off," She threatened, flicking her own over her teeth to make them shine. Of course, she could have some fun with him while she had him there. This was Laurel's child, and while she knew absolutely nothing about Laurel, she knew she had a penchant for storytelling. Her voice bevame softer. "Y'know, yer Ma deserves what she's got comin' for her. But- she prolly never told you wot she did, did she?" She asked, fixing her dark, cobra stare on the child. RE: [raid]Bring me the no good workhorse - Abel - January 20, 2022 It’s as though his voice had been stolen from him. His pleas went completely ignored by the woman who towered over him. All she’d done was cast a glare and threatened him with her teeth. It frustrated him as much as it terrified him. Why?! Why can’t you just LISTEN — His screams were cut short by a shocked yelp when her fangs came within an inch of his face. Abel curled into himself and shook more vigorously. His sobs became muffled through clenched teeth. The woman’s accusations towards his mother were just barely registered. Abel looked up at her with a glare he could hardly keep up. T-the man did,he choked. He- he said she killed Indra. But she didn’t, she’s here. She would n-never do that to Indra. She loves her! Abel lowered his gaze, unable to look at the frightening woman much longer. He’s crazy. Y-you’re all crazy. RE: [raid]Bring me the no good workhorse - Æsilfír - January 27, 2022 What a wimp. He was a whiny little boy, whose self-confidence seemed to do little more than spike and then fall back as soon as a real threat presented itself. The child flinched in such a way that Æsilfír thought perhaps, he'd been snapped at before. He trembled, the stutter of his quiet words were the declaration of a child beaten into submission. Woe was married with fear as he pleaded. "We are crazy, I'll give you that," She said, with a sickening chuckle. Now that he was curled tight on the ground, she crowded a bit closer, so she might be able to gently comb her teeth through the fur of his ruff, and preen it, unnervingly gently and close. "But we don't lie." She said. "Yer Mam lied to yeh. She killed her own sister, an' lied to her sweet little boy about it." She said, and reached to gently feather the fur at the nape of his neck. "I feel sorry for ya, wee man. Must've been hard, havin' a Mam like that, hmm?" RE: [raid]Bring me the no good workhorse - Abel - January 28, 2022 He felt the ends of her teeth rake through the fur of his nape, dangerously close to his neck. His lips twitched upward ever so slightly in response in a show of his own smaller fangs. Fear froze him in place. He was forced to listen to the madwoman go on, as much as he tried to block out her voice. She insisted that Laurel spilled the blood of a sister. Mother lied, she said. And Abel insisted; She didn’t lie, with cracking faux confidence. Doubt was beginning to seep into his mind for reasons he did not understand. Because how could she lie? How could she lie about a sister she’d never mentioned to begin with? RE: [raid]Bring me the no good workhorse - Æsilfír - February 01, 2022 While he objected, he didn't move. Any confidence he summoned to speak fell flat, and she thought she heard a sliver of doubt in his voice. She probably imagined it. "Oh, but she did," She sneered. "Yer Mam llllllied to you, an' yer whole pack, seems like." She mused thoughtfully. She began to circle him. "Why else d'you thenk we're here, hm? Not fer yer food, not fer yer land, not even fer yer absolute bully of an alpha," She said, running on the assumption still that the male who had bludgeoned her earlier was indeed their leader. "Sarry, li'l man, but yer Mam? Lied. Yer Antie Indra is dead because of her. Not surprised she never told ye- betcha there's a lot yer Mam never told ya, seems like," She said, searching for any little insecurity she could find. RE: [raid]Bring me the no good workhorse - Abel - February 04, 2022 If only there was a way to plug his ears. He surely tried. His paws raked over his head over and over. He felt a sting left by his little claws. No, no. No she didn’t! She never had a sister you’re lying. You’re lying!Screaming was no help either. Nor the crying that followed. Her words had already soaked into his mind. His doubts were fed. RE: [raid]Bring me the no good workhorse - Æsilfír - February 12, 2022 He fretted and she smirked. An anxious crrature- and to her, anxiety meant that somewhere, she had struck a nerve. Somewhere, there was doubt. While she was absolutely fabricating details based on loose assumptions, it was enjoyable for her to simply stand by them and watch him suffer. He seemed to break a bit, and she would take advantage of his denial. "Truth is hard to take, Li'l Man. I know wot it's like, trust me." She said, without trying to sound too reassuring. "Specially hard when it's someone you love that pulls the wool over yer eyes." Her pale gaze studied him for any sign that he might begin to believe her. She might have continued- but a voice split through the air, calling for Ursus to retreat...Victorious? She wasn't sure. But if Merrick was still alive, she could only assume Indra was dead. Merrick's call demanded that a child be found, a girl- but Æsilfír was not going to simply abandon the one she'd already managed to pin. He'd be useful. "Up. Now." She hissed, clicking her teeth at him. "We're leaving." |
