preach - Bartholomew - January 26, 2022 all welcome, but hoping to put this towards his spiritualist trade!
a meadow, wide and open, pale with the fresh snow from nights before. the sunrise danced against the pure surface. he would be stark in it, an obvious figure in the open. this was what he wished for, to draw attention to himself and summon the presence of others by his mere presence alone. but, ah, that was rarely ever enough. blessed are we!he barked into the open air, smile present as his yellow eyes remained hawkish. predatory, ready to bombard any who might encroach upon his sermon. another day has been given to us by none other than Him! the blessings of Him are abundant — never-ending! — if you simply look around you!a soft wispy breath escaped him, visible in the cold air. these miracles are gifted from Him for our devotion. are you devoted? RE: preach - Kasmut - January 26, 2022 Where the barking man was a clear sight against the pale background, Kasmut was not. Her pale coat faded into the snow and the softness of her features seemed to melt her into its sheet of white. The flower had heard the man’s voice and had traveled to find what he was saying. When she had drawn nearer to him, she had noticed another figure in the distance – a pale shape that was much too far to cause trouble. Kasmut had watched the barking man for a short while, admiring the strangeness of his body and the oddities that marked him. The woman was reminded of Gucci, though she could not place why. Stepping toward the speaking figure, Kasmut allowed a sweet smile to spread along her pink lips. What is it you speak of, strange man? Devotion is commonplace in these lands. Kasmut turned her gaze toward the mesa and thought of Pharaoh. RE: preach - Bartholomew - January 26, 2022 pale figures. they haunted this place and yet she was different than his tooth, his strong arm. she was closer to him. a sleek figure that was not built like a soldier. delicate. oh, it is?color him surprised! i speak of devotion to God. is that where devotion goes in this place? to Him? RE: preach - Kasmut - January 26, 2022 Ah, the man spoke of God. Kasmut’s smile grew along her slender features. She regarded him with a modicum of judgement in the coral pink of her eyes. The man spoke only of one God. The desert flower had never spoken to another soul who believed in just one divine ruler. She wondered what false prophet had filled his mind with dreams. Which God? For there are several Egyptians in these parts. We have faith in many Gods, you see.And those who had been touched by the Gods - she thought of Ramesses, again. Kasmut watched him carefully, wondering what he would share about the God that he worshipped. She was captivated by the peculiarity of his body, but she was drawn to the manner in which he spoke. RE: preach - Bartholomew - January 26, 2022 ah, heathens. poor unfortunate souls who had their head filled with the idea of many gods of a civilization he didn’t even know! but there was no need to fret over such details. he was here to spread the word. his life had prepared him for these very encounters. the God, of course. the one true one. the one who created all of this around us! the one who created us! RE: preach - Kasmut - January 26, 2022 Ah, so the man was an oddity. Kasmut’s smile shifted to something sweeter than it had been before. She was not the type of woman who accepted the word of preachers. She had known her faith since she had been young. The Gods of Egypt were supreme in all things. When the stranger spoke of the one true God, the creator of all things, the pale flower tilted her head to the side and hummed thoughtfully. You mean Ra? King of Gods and father of all creation?the pale flower’s voice was silky with superiority. Kasmut wondered if the stranger’s deity was anything like the sun god that they worshiped in the sands. RE: preach - Bartholomew - January 26, 2022 he was reminded of dove. sweet, simple-minded dove. rest her soul and he hoped his time had not been wasted upon his passed wife. perhaps she had found her way into the great beyond. perhaps she had descended down below, beneath their paws. no, dear.this was okay. his patience was infinite for these teachings. i mean God, whether you know it or not, He’s the only one. He created this world and the next. it’s never too late to learn His word. soft encouragement for her curiosity. RE: preach - Kasmut - February 03, 2022 It overjoyed her to laugh at such a thing. Kasmut drew her head back, letting the noise bubble from her mouth and into the air. She did not seem to care if this was offensive to the man. She could not think of something quite so absurd – one God. The pale flower believed that this man was crazed, or that he had been raised outside of the belief of the Egyptians. It was a shame. And God is its name? How silly,she spoke with a gleam of joy in her eyes. Kasmut did not turn to leave, however. She seemed willing to listen to his words, if only for a short while longer. RE: preach - Bartholomew - February 18, 2022 if he could, if it had been right, he would have struck her down where she stood. to laugh so carelessly in the face of all he said was sickening. enough that his features briefly darkened into something bitter, a look his wife had seen multiple times. he despised how much he saw dove in the face of his blasphemer. think what you may, but you cannot change the truth and what it means for us all. his patience suddenly thin like the blades of grass. RE: preach - Kasmut - March 17, 2022 My apologies for dragging this out so long! I'll give you a nice little fade here with Kasmut. <3 ;w;
Neither can you, holy man,she purred in reply. Kasmut tired of him. She did not want to be in his company any longer. The man had given her insight as to his purpose. The way that he carried himself was confident. The pale figure would have liked to see how he stood next to Pharaoh Ramesses. What a sad little thing he would appear to be. This thought eased her irritation until it had disappeared. May your journey bring you fortunes. That was all that she wished to offer him. Kasmut swished her tail before turning to return to the mesa and the familiarity of Akashingo. |
