His adrenaline was long gone by the time he reached the sand of the punishment ground. His wound was throbbing but he could ignore it for now. He was unsure how much he would be able to ignore it if he was made to push that damn boulder around again. He had suffered through worse, though, and he would take whatever the imperator dealt him without complaint.
He took a seat, his eyes wandering to the large rock in the center; he glared at it. Then he disappeared into his mind as he waited, thinking of how he could have done things differently. He also wished he could be there while Aquene told the imperator what happened and why it had upset her so much. But once again his lack of impulse control had ended him in this damn place.
