Feeling used, but I'm missing you - Annorak - March 25, 2022 @Avicus @Prophet @Tulimaq — Tagging leadership for visibility. Would love to get the chance to rp with one of you; however, anyone else is welcome as well!
Somehow, the light breeze crawling across the thick patch of fleece was in no way comforting as it once used to be. As a whelp, Kamau had always loved it. The sensation reminded him of a mother’s caress; a light touch that brought comfort in strained times. Yet now — today — it forced his teeth clench and shoulders to tense. No longer did he reminisce in those memories. With a hardened heart and cold, frozen-like stare, there was no longer anything worth remembering. The feeling festering inside the chest was one of built-up tension, as most recent days had been. Any reeling thoughts had been pent up, locked away in a cage. There was no one he could vent his anger to, or share his queries in hopes of an answer. Though, regardless of how annoying it became, Kamau had grown far too used to not being able to speak. So much so that he'd learned to push all emotion aside. Without such disgusting feelings, there would be little need to vent. Instead, he could do what he does best: maim, kill, destroy. Blood was his comfort — his release — just as his had been to others long ago. A poor influence, most would say. But unlike most poor influences, Kamau couldn't help but allow his attention to linger. Restless, now. For days upon more days, the shadow-like beast trailed the paths that led him further within the depths of the region. It all was a grand spectacle; but alas, nothing had caught his interest. Perhaps in time, something or another would. RE: Feeling used, but I'm missing you - Avicus - March 25, 2022 her heat still rages on, but she can't let it get in the way of her normal duties. the shadow upon the border alerts her; it is Avicus who arrives first, looking even more imperious and smug in the wake of her recent conquests. she stares down the huge, hulking man, impressed by his size and potential strength. she lifts her chin in silent question, her indigo gaze locked onto his visage with intensity. he reminds her of Aventus, somewhat, save for the patches of silver that line his pelt. his eyes, pale as moons, are most reminiscent. Avicus wonders whether Tulimaq or Prophet will join her. he must be stirred by her scent. his next move will determine everything. RE: Feeling used, but I'm missing you - Annorak - March 25, 2022 Silence. That's all to ever be heard when alone. However, unbeknownst to Kamau, he won't be alone much longer. A red figure approaches steadily, head high and eyes searching. His pale gaze finds her quickly. Curious, a small step forward is taken, but finds an abrupt stop before another will follow. There is something off. The air was... different. Was it that time here already? Considering this had been the first encounter Kamau has had in a long while, the lack of awareness wouldn't be a surprise. Remaining where he stood, the shadow did not move, staring forward. He knew better. When in heat, females were one of two things: snappy and moody, or searching for someone to fulfill their desires. Neither of these were really something he wanted to deal with in this moment, hence why he would ignore entirely, regardless of how much the aroma beckoned him forth. Carefully, Kamau watched the woman. Is there something she would say or do? The lingering silence would not appease either, and she was the only who could break it. RE: Feeling used, but I'm missing you - Ratio - March 26, 2022 Ratio hovered around the borders like a shadow. If he was not asleep or preoccupied with his packmates - sparring, he preferred - he was running the perimeter. He was newly promoted and it made his blood sing but it did not change his assumed purpose. It was not surprising that he appeared, then, from somewhere behind the red Avicus. He was drawn in by scent, both hers and that of the stranger. At first, his concern was only for the dark male and he approached to stand a small distance behind his Wealda. His red eyes stared stoically into the face of equal stoicism. The scent caught his attention, then, suddenly more interesting than that of the stranger. Ratio wasn't a youngster. He knew the smell of a woman in heat but that had never been for him. Still, he was not completely unaffected by the pheromones. All at once, the stranger was not a mere curiosity along the territory - he was a threat. He could not help the rising of his hackles, though he said and did nothing. He glanced once at Avicus, feeling a yank of misplaced protective instinct, and looked back at the dark male, his eyes now cold. RE: Feeling used, but I'm missing you - Avicus - March 26, 2022 their eyes lock, but before she can speak, her Bitan is there, guarding her flank. Avicus glances toward Ratio with a brief nod of thanks and acknowledgement before returning her stare to the stranger. his possessiveness may be overmuch, but it is not misplaced, and she thanks him for it. why you here?she demands of the dark man upon the border, tail sky-high and lashing behind her. she wouldn't have felt inadequate without backup, but she does pull strength from Ratio's presence—they are a unified force in the face of a potential threat. RE: Feeling used, but I'm missing you - Annorak - March 26, 2022 A second joins them before Kamau can hear her first words. By first instance, the dark man wasn't a fan. The opposing male was quite overprotective and domineering. Could it be that he courted her.. or perhaps they were already linked? Pity he couldn't ask. Oh well...~ perhaps sooner or later will provide a hint of answer. Finally, she speaks. "Why you here?" Short of words herself, it seems. Now.. how to explain his lacking. Expanding a slim jaw, Kamau grunted lowly. Then he struck a paw across the ground. It wasn't of aggression, but more of frustration. Staring forth to only the woman — the second man being ignored completely — he silently willed that she would catch on quickly. Kamau was only a passerby. He didn't need them to believe otherwise, lest this conclude with possessive bloodshed. RE: Feeling used, but I'm missing you - Ratio - March 27, 2022 Ratio was pleased that he was not admonished, feeling more righteous in his instinct. Avicus asked the male of his intention and the black and silver wolf gave...no answer. Well, not one aloud. If Ratio had met the silent white wolf Augur, he may have understood the gesture better or at least realized that the man was simply silent. As it was, he was only confused and irritated, working to keep the rumble out of his chest at the perceived rudeness. His ears flattened but he made no move, not even glancing at Avicus. The scent of her riled his temper more than usual but he was in control of himself. He would rather die than let himself fail his Wealda - he would do something about this disrespectful brute if she asked him to. Otherwise, he would wait and watch. RE: Feeling used, but I'm missing you - Avicus - April 03, 2022 he doesn't speak, but he's respectful. Avicus watches the pass of his paw across the ground, warming finally to spring. she sees no aggression in the gesture, though she doesn't quite take its meaning. is he wordless, like Augur, like her mother? you needh home?Avicus asks, canting her head to one side. her eyes flick briefly to Ratio, then back to the stranger. why has he come, if not to seek shelter? she hopes he is not here just to test their strength, for he will get the full brunt of their might should he challenge so. RE: Feeling used, but I'm missing you - Annorak - April 13, 2022 A keen, reverent stare found itself settling upon the red woman. Kamau wasn't quite sure how to respond to such a query. Was there only one place to call home? Since the time of youth, the world had been considered his home. After brief consideration, the mute gargantuan offered a small shrug in reply. Not yet would he immediately say no, but there wasn't open confidence to say yes either. If to confine himself in one place, he would lose much freedom and solace. Was he really ready to give all that up? RE: Feeling used, but I'm missing you - Ratio - April 16, 2022 His anger dissipated to confusion and he could not help a quick glance at his Wealda. A home? When the brute was so rude? Had he missed something? He swiftly looked back to the stranger, his body language tense but one of strict obedience. A solider. His eyes had changed, however - where he had once stared at the man with sharp aggression, there was a quieter, more thoughtful look. He was a very large male, coated in black and silver. He supposed, if he really thought about it, his silver accents reminded him of Ashlar. That was where any similarity stopped, however. Handsome, maybe, but Ratio was still high on hormones and his anger at not dispelled completely - his hackles still stood. He would be useful. Perhaps. His presence beside Avicus was less raging heat as he stared at the stranger and registered his shrug. Even that made his teeth ache to bite but his logical mind understood. Even he had taken time to consider Prophet. He was silent and steady as he waited for Avicus' response. RE: Feeling used, but I'm missing you - Avicus - April 17, 2022 there might've been a time where Avicus would be willing to query further, to draw the silent man from his shell and invite him into the fold. they need warriors, and this man might make a good one. but her heat has made her even more impatient than usual, and at his shrug, she turns away with a scoff, gesturing for Ratio to do the same. it's a 'yes' or 'no' question; she will not take half-answers. she'd only question his loyalty, and with pups potentially on the way, she can't afford to have anything less than ironclad devotion at her flank. shoulders stiff, the stranger will see her backside for a just few moments longer before she disappears over the crest of the Rise. sorry ;-; she is a bitch
