…in the midnight rain? - Alduin - April 03, 2022 set in Ankyra sound, but closer to the river between firefly ravine and the tangle.
For @Kamau <3 Alduin’s brindled fur shines with the wetness of the ocean, spiking up and damp from his swim to the mainland. The night is still young, but darkness has overtaken the light of day. The stars shine bright above the cursed wolf as he moves through the sand and then rolling hills of grass. In the distance he sees a river, thirst overtakes him and his paws move him closer to the shimmering water. Shaking out his pelt, Alduin drops his head to lap up the liquid with a dark tongue. Spotted auds swivel in every direction, listening to the sounds of the land. For a quiet few moments, he wonders if he is alone… RE: …in the midnight rain? - Slavuj - April 15, 2022 the bard had gone hungry another day. then two. then five. but that was alright. he was now assured that in times of greatest need, he'd be fed by kindness of strangers and love of mother nature. still, it was terribly difficult to sleep with a groaning stomach. he'd curled up in a makeshift nest of grass, an awkward and unguarded shelter, and now rose with a slight frown. water. the rich blood of planet earth would surely sate him somewhat, if not, just trick his tongue for a night. the dog approached the river, noisy even if he wasn't humming a half-and-half tune that mixed two songs at once. he dipped his beard in the rushing water and lapped deep, as to fill his belly. RE: …in the midnight rain? - Annorak - April 17, 2022 With swift departure from the land unnamed to Kamau's ear, aimless roaming proceeded. The lumbering figure left weeds to sway and flower buds to wilt beneath each gargantuan step. Rushing water fluttered nearby, filling the silent air. There was loneliness. However, it didn't last long. Something, or someone was here. Kamau sent his eyes to search. Back and forth they went, tail lifted in utter distress. He couldn't demand they make themselves, for he had no words. Calling out didn't seem too wise. All he could was wait until his presence was noted and discovered by said company. |
