The thickness in her lungs - RIP Fury - April 07, 2022 Children tagged for reference, everyone else is welcome to join in!
It had been days since she last saw @Elias and @Panacea. She didn't stop searching every inch of the Strath, the Ravine, the Morass, calling their names with a mother's worry. Their scents had stopped at the river, and she traced the banks of it too, as far as she could, to no avail. She had to search for them, but she couldn't leave @Sovereign and @Credence... Laced with days-deep panic, the Warchieftain called for everyone within the valley to heed her summons. @Kynareth Deagon @Arashi @Sakari @Gennesis @War @Simmik Once those who would come were there, Fury addressed them with obvious fret. "Two of my children are missing. Elias and Panacea. They're not anywhere to be found in the valley. Their scent ends at the edge of the river, I've followed it as far as possible and found nothing. I can't leave my other two kids for long." Could she truly count on those who she opened her home to? "I need one or two wolves to go look for them beyond the valley." Fury would with that, open the space for volunteers. Though this was a dire emergency, it was also a test to see who would be loyal enough to her and the future of the Saints to offer themselves up for the task. RE: The thickness in her lungs - Sakari - April 07, 2022 @Fury, @Elias @Panacea please PM me or message me on disco with anything I need to know as Sakari searches. I don't want to mess up the plot or anything.
Missing children? How could this have happened? Fury watched those children tirelessly, and what's more-- the men hovered around the warchief like stink on a wolverine. It should have been impossible for newborn children to sneak away under such conditions. Sakari wondered if she should speak up to state the obvious: this was clearly an inside job. Infants don't just get up and walk out the front door all by themselves. One of their own was responsible for this, she was certain. Despite her misgivings, Sakari kept her suspicions to herself. As the newest recruit and the least trusted, the blame would naturally fall upon herself. Best to get ahead of this, if it was possible. "Send me, Warchief. My paws are swift, and my senses are sharp. I will find them." It was a pretty vow, betraying none of Sakari's inner pessimism. There could be little doubt that children were already dead or smuggled far, far away by now. RE: The thickness in her lungs - Arashi - April 07, 2022 As always, the samurai was quick to appear; though, today he had not been the first. Sakari had beat him. Imagine that. Now with a small sense of acquaintance for the dark woman, Arashi offered a small chuff in greeting. Their former interaction had gone well — more interesting, to say the least. Just as he would be, she was also hasty to jump in to help wherever she could. He admired it, almost. To see someone similar to his own mannerism was not something he encountered often. It was like looking in a mirror. Enough about her... Fury needed his attention in this moment. I wish to go as well.Arashi had before mentioned his ability in tracking to the Warchief, but had not yet been given the chance to show for it. Maybe now he could do just that, as well as earn more trust and respect from the seasoned leader. RE: The thickness in her lungs - RIP Fury - April 10, 2022 Fury's gaze found Sakari swiftly as the dark lady volunteered. An approving and grateful glint flashed through her eyes at the newest recruit, solidified twofold as Arashi also volunteered himself to search with Sakari. The Warchieftain would not deny the help she had been offered. "Search everywhere you can. Report in a month's time with your findings. Be safe, and be swift." A blessing. With a firm nod to them both, Fury had nothing else to add, and therefore would allow Sakari and Arashi to dispatch into the Wilds as soon as they were ready. |
